oh, and BTW headman, TYVM for that screenshot of the arm.

Everyone has been getting the arm completely wrong...

drawn in a straight line it looks more like this

(SHOULDER)=======O======O=======O(LOOONG HAND)

three relatively equal length segments, with a hand almost as long as one of them.

I've been drawing it like this:

(SHOULDER)======O===O===============O(HAND)

where it goes Medium, short, LONG, hand.

Yes I do, I will see if I can cut it out and slow it down. The only reason I did this one is it only shows the clear shots. I cut out all the blurry crap. I will be back in a few hours to make the slow vid.

I figured i would stuff this in here since its changed to talking about the monsters face now...

I went to Page Neville's website (the designer of the monster) and, on the front page... idk if this IS part of the creature, but it looks damn close...

http://www.nevillepage.com/

look at the bottom right, and then look at the monster again... early sketches of the lower jaw?

*EDIT* on further examination of his portfolio... thats something else he did...

Still, its fun looking through his designs... I feel safe knowing he was in charge of making this thing.

No need to be nasty. She has a valid point, and she's certainly entitled to her opinion. Being juvenile isn't going to improve the situation in the least.

What situation??? That they marketed a movie and it came out? What the hell is wrong with you people? It's a damn movie!

ok... the more i look at these pictures and thinking about other scenes such as the helecopter shot, the more im convinced his head is EXTREMELY short from neck to nose.

The reason his head looks like a snakes in a few shots is because of the way his jaw is designed. It gains a lot of length by curving up towards the middle of his head...

imma attempt to ASCII draw the bottom jaw... bear with me

VERY rough idea of what it looks like. With the mouth closed, his head could probably fit inside a square if you looked at it from the side.

Trout me if I have it coming, but do we have enhanced pictures of the bombing run? Nice shot of the chest in that, for sure.

No, this is the only HD shot of the monster we have. Any other shots need to be done with handhelds, so the quality of those are going to be MUCH worse.

I only hope they re'touch certain cgi on the DVD/Directors cut...
After they (those who are responsible) see these HD images, I think they are gonna' want to step up internal oral/tongue detail just a tad...
Sure its only a parsec of a clip...
But detail is everything...aint' it ?

So I have been thinking about what Lambo said and think I have a good way to point out how MGPs mouth works. Kinda bear with me on this I wanted to take Photos to demonstrate it but need a third hand. And can't find anyone to help out.

So anyways do this take your right hand and make a fist.

2 Cup your left hand under it so that your wrists touch.

3 posistion your left hand fingers so they over lap your right hand.

4 now pretend your hand are MGP's head this give us the squared off look that we see in Hud's Central Park shots.

Now move your left hand down like a jaw. you will notice that when you do the gap that opens up looks a lot like the Pics above

Not sure I clearly explained it but I feel that that is a pretty good reprensentation of what we are seeing.

*edit* B-cuz huk on fonx werks fer mee.
