So...I think we can safetly say that she is the grand almighty queen of the cows.

Which is bad for cows.

-scowl-

As someone who wasn't there, I have to say - I love you guys. Anyone who was there and represented the passengers, you rock! <3333

Now..Off with her head?

I would normally post this in the messages to Delilah thread, but i feel that it will be more appropriately applied here.
Quote:
Dearest Delilah.

I'm APPALLED at the behavior of my fellow passengers in the chat with the queen. I almost want to disown them for their blatant dis-loyalty and rudeness. As a heart, I hold to the ideal of love for all, even in difficult or unpleasant situations. Love was not shown tonight.
I hope that they have not ruined our chances of having a cordial and beneficial relationship with Her Majesty, Queen of Information and Peace, tonight her subject were not at all paragons of peace, I apologize on their behalf and offer myself as a vehicle of redemption, by whatever means are necessary. If you can, please make my apology, as well as my offer of servitude to the queen.

A humble and penitent servant,

Melody

I stand by every word.

However, I also apologize to those I offended by using the phrase "passengers". I recognize not everyone was behind this, but majority rules, and the passengers, by majority, acted very very immaturely.

I also feel like had I not posted this e-mail I would have been going against the group. I posted this for the express purpose of preserving community and preventing "civil war". If we are all open about how we feel, it's easier to achieve a point of peace.

I don't want to go against the group, in any way, but from the beginning I made the choice to remain loyal to myself and my feelings. This e-mail was my way of doing that.

SHE IS NO QUEEN OF MINE.

Actually, a number of us think the chat went horribly and degraded into snubbing the Queen when it should have been about gaining information. So I don't know how thrilled one should be after reading that. :-/

I count myself as one that thought that the chat went horribly. I may hold no allegiances to the Queen, but that was a golden opportunity to find out more, and possibly turn the Queen against Delilah. Delilah is pulling more strings than she should be able to, and we did EXACTLY what she wanted us to do.

She's stated that she enjoys the pain of others. She's told me that she's sowing seeds of unrest, and I think that it applies to the Deck, as well. How many stories about viziers and counselors betraying their leaders have we read?

What have we accomplished? We stated that we weren't her servants. Great. That didn't give us ANYTHING, except a sense of temporary power. Revolution is not the answer. This is the time to think things through.

Jonah's important to us, and that's one of the keys. Taking him away, and trading him off, is a way to control us, to make us emotional.

Control. That's the second key. We are an emotional group, but now is the time to step away from that, no matter how hard it is. If we let ourselves get emotional about this, they've won.

The third key? Delilah not being a card. It's obviously more important than the surface "Duh, we got that already." Why would Dom and Jonah make such a big deal about it, unless it was a big red flag to notice? We're missing the forest for the trees. Step back, take a deep breath (I mean that.), and look at the clues that have been given to us.

I agree.

The only comment I can make about the chat is that I was unimpressed by the lack of integrity, considering how delicate the situation was.

Respect is so hard to come by these days.

I think the moral of this week is that.... there will always be authority figures we don't like above us, and we need to try to salvage what we can. If buttering up your boss will get you a bit higher up... DO IT.

-sigh-

I read the chat.
I wasn't there.
I accept that it may not have gone aswell, I'm not taking back anything I said though. Some people might have acted with a touch more 'maturity' than others, and I think they rocked aswell as the few who not have been as mature and basically shared their opinion. To be brutally honest I couldn't call the Queen a very mature character either - though thats what she is a character.

Either way, I'm not a fan of the queen and her business pursuits. I don't like the way she's gone about things and from reading that chat I seriously doubt I would have been particularly pleased had I been there.

Put a bunch of people with opinions in a room, thats what you get.

Email from Domenic about the chat

Quote:

I heard about the chat. Apparently everybody lost their temper and nothing
was accomplished. Korp pretty much dared people to negotiate, but
obviously we can't count on the Passengers. I don't know how the Clubs
will handle this now.

I'm disappointed. Share this with the others.

Can't we negotiate? Why don't we trade the queen for Morcar? Wink

I agree with you all. Although it was humorous, the blatant insults are juvenile and uncalled for. I personally hate the queen but I wouldn't have gone about things this way if i had been in the chat.
