Seriously...?

Yes. I love to see chicks kickin' ass.

Yeah, but....well.....okay, I guess you just can't disagree with that response. Smile

I don't see how it'd be a movie to get excited about, though. Unless you were expecting massive amounts of nudity maybe.

I've never been a huge fan of female nudity, but I've always loved badass chicks that aren't to be fuched with, hence the Buffy-Love. I also thought the first CA had a perfect mix of action and humor. I expected such big things from McG.

So you are female, then? (I tend to automatically assume I am conversing with a male, don't know why)

I guess if you really liked the first, I could understand. I just thought it was okay.

Actually no, I'm a boy. I always tend to assume I'm talking to boys too, thought. I know fangirls exist, but you don't see them as much.

And speaking of movies to be excited about, I don't really have one now. Anything on the near horizon to look forward to?

Gay, then? Sorry if I keep going with this, but it's just atypical for a male to not be "a huge fan of female nudity."

Anyway, yeah, there's Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Dark Knight...well those are all comic book movies....

In terms of monsters, you've got Diary of the Dead (another found footage-type o' deal, but with zombies), the next Host movie, The Wolf Man (unless they settle on Brett Ratner as director...yeesh), and At the Mountains of Madness (director Guillermo del Toro said he got some inspiration for the movie from the Cloverfield trailers and The Mist, which, if you haven't seen it, is, in my opinion, one of the all time greatest horror movies). If none of those interest you, a lull in new movies is always a good chance to go back and see some older releases that you haven't seen yet.

Yea, I really liked The Mist too. I think it was underrated.
And yes, gay. Smile
Which of the movies you mentioned is coming out first? I need something in th next couple weeks to tide me over.

Diary of the Dead comes out Feb. 15, so pretty damn soon. (Plus, it's by George A. Romero who did Night, Dawn and Day of the Dead. And Land of the Dead, but that sucked.)

The others don't come out for quite a while I'm afraid. Wolf Man is shuffling directors, Mountains of Madness is just in planning stage.

I just looked, and according to Wikipedia, Host 2 is scheduled for 2008! All right! I hope that's accruate.

O that is soon. Awesome! I think Ima see The Eye tonight and then sneak in to see a little more of Cloverfield.

Speaking of which, do you think Roger Corman will do a straight to video knock-off of Cloverfield?

Haha!! I won't be surprised. Asylum (a direct-to-DVD company infamous for ripping off the current big releases) has Monster, which actually looks like it could be good (their movies are not generally bad for DVD movies). It'll show up on Sci-Fi Channel in no time.

The Eye looks boring to me. I forgot about The Orphanage, too (out now). It's supposed to be good.
