 		[48][OOG] Forum Overhaul.
READ THIS, KNOW THIS, BREATHE THIS, LIVE THIS.
Alright, I'm currently in the process of a forum overhaul due to the highly unorganized tangents this group enjoys going on. I'm only on page three of the Search For Brody topic and I've moved five posts to the Brody Hawkins topic.

Let me make this perfectly clear; when a new topic is made, stay on the topic of that topic, sounds easy right? Obviously not. Search For Brody is used for Search For Brody updates and discussion. That means the blog, e-mails with them and youtube account, not e-mails with Brody, not IM chats with Brody and not MySpace or Facebook updates of Brody. Guess where those go? In the Brody Hawkins topic.

Furthermore, we've all been guilty of this even me, but none of these topics unless they're OOG are for your personal discussions and LOLing. Do that on your own time in the appropriate topics. If you guys want a peaceful Icarus, take the simple route and use your heads, because as it stands, the more bullshit I have to wade through means the more new players have to wade through and that in turn pushes new players away.

 		Discussion.
This needs addressed, do not get defensive.
This board seems to have more mindless chatter and less progress than our old 48 forum. No matter what you believe this to be, a game, an ARG for an upcoming movie, an experiment by a group of people or serial killers coming to f_cking pwn us, you have to realize the depth this story has. Emotion, time, hard work and effort has gone into this, no matter if we bitch and moan about updates or how it progresses. There's one thing all of you need to understand, right now this is a game for something, we don't know what it is and frankly it doesn't matter. Play the game, have fun, stop getting defensive when someone calls you out on a bogus post and more importantly stop cluttering this forum with banter that only hinders progress.

I know the masses don't like me and quite frankly I like it that way, but the common goal is to finish this. Nobody else is stepping up to organize this cluster and make sensible material out of it. I'm a neat freak and slightly OCD, so I'm stepping up. Like me or hate me, I'm doing this for the betterment of the group, the game and the architects behind it. You may not believe that I can be kind hearted and helpful, but trust me, I can and I want to. Shape up, show me and the architects you can play this game like adults, not the children we've shown thus far.

This is what needs to happen: Keep the chatter in IG topics to a minimum. One, two posts off topic I can understand, but these multiple pages need to go. When you're posting a theory, idea or something you've found, double, triple and quadruple check your information and be prepared for trouting if you're wrong. Don't get defensive when someone pokes holes in your information, buck up and move on. Right now I've lost count on how many theories and ideas have been posted in this forum that is utter bullshit and you guys continue to cling to it. That goes for everyone. OGs to mid-players to newbs. When the facts coming against you are better than the `` gut feeling `` or `` I-think-I'm-cool-for-posting-this `` feeling you have inside of you, let it go and move on.

I think I can speak for the architects and PMs when I say this: This is getting extremely ridiculous and it needs to change. Now.

Icarus is right. We need to change this. I think we're not the only ones who notice.

You can feel free to create more OOG topics BUT you really can't concentrate on the social aspects of the game (as sexy as we all are here) but more on clues, videos and in depth discussion.

Time to put the pieces back together.

 		The creation of OOG topics is what's helping clutter this forum. We don't need them. We have The Lounge and Introductions, that's all we need. As much as I love Tubs his `` OMG `` topic is useless and in the way. All of that could have been discussed in The Lounge.

 		Tim, I agree 100%. I think the focus has been gone for a bit now. I know it's easy to get into the chatter but we need to stay on task. Obviouslly whoever is behind this has put in a lot of time, effort and creativity. Let's get back on track, only post in the correct topic or this might just all be for nothing Rolling Eyes

 		I agree..I have not been contributing much to the game aspect of this ARG because honestly I can't spend 5 hours every time I wake up to catch up on 20 thousand pages without skimming over things and then when I do that I miss info and trout. Which sucks.

So yea I agree...(although I am to blame for this as well) but keep all IG chat to IG threads and all OOG chats to only the Lounge topic. And if you want to keep the good night thread make sure only goodnights are spoken of in there and not lounge topics.

That's my two cents.
