In certain expressions, it does look like a snake, but I also see very 'deep-sea creature' look to it. Like the way its mouth looks like a viper fish or an ogre fish.

The bat comparison was in relation to the positioning of its arms and how it walked.

Snakes have forked tongues, and....I just don't see any resemblance to a snake, other than that it has eyes, teeth, and a tongue.

Dang...pretty saucy. Word on the fork tongue, but come on...it looks like a freakish bat snake jellyfish from the depths of the ocean. I've had it served to me at a local Sushi joint. quite yummy.

Not sure I get the "saucy" thing, but "freakish bat snake jellyfish" sounds a lot more accurate than just snake (although I don't see any jellyfish-esque qualities either Very Happy

). Sounds pretty tasty, regardless.

I mean, he's obviously incredibly talented (look at his web page). Wouldn't surprise me that they just come from an average joe, but to come so quickly, perfectly, and with added logos/fonts/etc...just seems fishy. Not that it matters, i enjoy the stuff he posted regardless!

I just noticed that the guy who posted these has the eerie 1 post that we have seen from such posters as the guy who first discovered tidowave and a few other instances where we have guessed that they were someone from paramount moving this ARE along.
Granted, the ARE seems to be at a standstill and this wouldn't move it along by any means, it still seems fishy that these great images got posted so quickly, along with the correct cloverfield logo/font/etc. Just an observation that this could be a mole.
Like i said before, though, it doesn't really matter. Just an observation.

Definitely noticed that too... that's what J.J. was emphasizing in his production notes, about the 'scared horse look' showing the whites of his eyes.

Maybe it's just me..

... But seeing the look of sheer panic in MPG eyes (which, thanks to mike r and his amazing video skills, we can now see clearly) makes me feel, well..sorry for "Clover" (MPGs 'official' nickname - sounds like a horses name, doesn't it?), and one could almost say we brought a lot of the destruction of Manhattan on ourselves - after all, shooting missiles at a panicky, p*ssed-off behemoth might not be the wisest course of action, should one's desired outcome be the minimalization of chaos..! Confused

...
