 		Maybe he's just high on DSN and is impervious to pain...kind of like Tony Montana was jacked up on cocaine in "Scarface" and couldn't be knocked down.

Like I said, it's a good theory and c'mon- We're talking about a monster movie here... so it could be ANYTHING.

3 theories I've heard so far:

+adaption to the depth pressure
+some sort of Extremophile is involved
+it's a giant indestructible monster that was just born invincible... kinda like Godzilla.


well if you think about it, MGP getting shot at is like people getting a very strong gust of sand in the face...
it wont kill you but it hurts like a bitch
and the bombs are like fire crackers to MGP

also his skin must be pretty tough considering his size. his organs would be so heavy/large that he would need thicker/tougher skin to hold it all in

 		The more i look at those photos the more i'm inclined to believe that something else attacked HUD.

everyone else remember that enhanced gif that showed the thing attacking hud it looks nothing like these pictures...not to mention the size difference. I hate to pull somehting from nothing but it just doesnt fit.

it does match up...

lung thingys on the sides of the head

two large fangs on the lower jaw that extend quite above the upper lip

big eyes

extra segment in the arm

what more do you want?
