Maybe someone can try the word "password" ? Im not signed up, so I can't try anything. Maybe somone wants to make a complete list of everything tried so far?

Not "password" or 'L' (on typewriters l=1). Here's what people have posted as trying. Feel free to correct/update/whatever

it's getting a bit late and it doesn't look like we are any closer to 002 yet. I figured i would throw out my thoughts for the last hour in the hopes it might lead someone to the right answer...

Since the monopoly route was taken once, I thought maybe some other game that you would need a letter and a number. I tried: Bingo, Battleship, Othello, and Chess...no luck.

Some other random thoughts that i had:
Locations on paper maps, parking lot sections at the mall, airplane seating, bus routes,

Like the reddy thing and the monopoly, there are obvious UK ties in the game. I keep wondering that i might overlook something not being familiar with them.

Fishjp-- Thanks. Updated my copy. I'll repost when we get further along...

Nights -- I have the same prob w/brit stuff... My latest thought is that since the videos and 002 were released at the same time that there MAY be a connection. Haven't found anything though.

Damn. Of course as soon as I leave a computer with sound, the video actually gets uploaded. >_<
Well, I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Not that I'll be able to do much Laughing

Started thinking about letter and number. Scarlet letter? Number of the beast? A666... but no luck.

Okay, I'm way out of sequence timewise (GMT-10) and I'm out of ideas on the 002, but here's some stuff that may (or not) be useful when you folks get back into it.

News Vid... Yes, the two news vids are the same. If nothing else this tells us that 1in50 knows about LMF, but we kind of assumed that anyway.

Kidnap Vid... the file format (3gp) is used mostly in cell phones. OOG??? There are (at least) 2 edits in the vid. First is just before 16 seconds. You see a black screen, and the vid quality changes after. Another black screen at ~21 secs when the pic changes from closeup of grass to fuzzy grass(?). So what's in those 5 secs. that makes it worth doing editing? The only things I see is Becs running away and the phone (?) shadow which is in there very distinctly twice.

Oh, Rebecca's clothes (and Martin's for that matter) look the same as the tourist in hometown sequences.

Anyway you'd have to get that vid off the phone, so we can assume 1in50 has Martin's phone. Yet we know (assume?) they both escaped the attempt...

Don't ask me why ANY of that would be significant, just tossing it into the mix 'cause I'd rather do this than grade papers. Smile

I like the Bingo idea. In the UK, is it called Housey Housey? or Housie?

edit: signed up as: Bingo
tried: Housey Housey, Housey, Housie (all denied)

edit2: Not sure if this is important, but the flash page on 1in50m (the squares that can be pulled in all directions) can be set to not store any information on your computer. Right click, settings, move slider to none.
(I do this so that no info is saved on my computer....and considering this site, I am sure it's a good idea)

I tried W1 (being the Postcode for Central London, where most of the photos were taken). My only try so far.

Can anyone confirm if it gets re-set each day, so that we get 3 tries per day or is it 3 tries overall? I only have one log-in.

It's ambiguous as to whether it requires a letter AND a number - or if it's a letter that also serves as a number (as some people have tried). If it's the latter, I'm wondering about all the Roman numerals, e.g. I, V, X, L, C, D, M, V. From the list, it seems that I, L, C, M have already been tried. The M with a bar over (50million) would seem useful, but I don't think we can type it with the bar over it?

You don't need to sign up as the word you're referencing lol.

But no the game is still called "bingo" out here and we normally shout Bingo too... But sometimes in certain Bingo games the shout is "House" instead of Bingo.

Are you referring to the squares w/ clock, files, chat etc?

That slider is for the icon repulsion IE: how close the icons are to the home icon... I can't see any info that's for cookies and P.C info saving, where does it say that?

Just to say W1 is West 1, not central London... Those Postcodes will have a C in them, for example WC1 or EC1..

And once you've used your 3 tries it'll say at the bottom the date/time your next 3 tries will be unlocked.

For example. On my Leyton Stone login it now says:

Quote:
Authorisation Denied - incorrect access code. You have used 3 out of 3 attempts.Your access will be unlocked at:03/03/2008 19:40:33

Which is strange because it just let me have 2 tries and I tried all 3 last night... lol

Actually, I was also wondering what number was on Becca's letter. If we typed that as a Roman numeral, along with a random number (or 2, as the file is 002?) maybe we could get in then?
