Look at this page from the LHC site:

http://lhc-injection-test.web.cern.ch/lhc-injection-test/

It shows a total of eight different points around the perimeter of the device. I thought 004 might be asking for the directions between points 1 and 5, and then points 2 and 7, but north/east and north/northeast didn't work.

Can anybody else get anything useful from this?

Thought it may be points of a clock so tried 1:25 2:35 but no good there

Lunsford - The diagram is of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) the device that is threatening the very fabric of our universe!!! if you believe the 1 in 50 million web site.

All the different points on the circle represent spots where they have detectors or experiments or something set up to measure just how quickly they can destroy all living life on the planet!!!

or something like that...

Thanks Arcas... I did understand what the diagram was of just not what the diff points and beams and whatnot... and I was actually a really goos student in school.... go figure?

did try the connection of "atlas - cms alice - ap pm76" but didn't work, seemed a bit long anyhow but don't know if you guys can get anything out of diagram?

Looks like the diagram title is in french although the rest seems to be in english

apart from the boxes underneath, have no idea what they mean!

I tried to mark the points between 1-5 and 2-7 but it didn't really lead me to much...

leyton, whenever you hear back from Jason let us know. Maybe he could see the point reference and know what we needed to do....

I tried "SPS" which seemed to be the point where lines crossed on the LHC diagram... Nope. Any hare-brained ideas?

Oh, and my (current) guess as to what happens once we authorize all the files: The "Image not found" images change.

So, are we waiting for deus ex machina for a resolution to 004 or does somebody have something we haven't tried yet? I keep trying to figure out some kind of connection between the first three to hint at a solve for this one, but I'm out of ideas.

Well, I've emailed Jason and sort of hinted we MAY need a hand w/ this one in particular because we're all but stumped for ideas... I'm pretty sure if the PM's watching he'll see we've gone through what? 2-3 pages of this thread trying to work this particular file out...

He hasn't replied as of yet, though.
