I added a link to a tool created by one of our uF members in my previous post.

Any guesses on what the remainder of the next word might be (Pre...).

If you plug your guesses into the "Key:" field on Kender's page, you can test for likely keys in the "Decrypted text:" field.

i.e:
"Encrypted text: "sitmmfajcpxlzwwilefm"
Key: "liminary"
Decrypted text: "hahezfjlrhldmwfkawte"

But, "hahe" doesn't look like the beginning of a valid key.

I've tried IM'ing Recuit169 and Recruit_169 on YIM, and Recruit169 on AIM.
Nothing. Either the PM's are busy, or it's not that.
Meh, guess I'll try some emails.
As for a guess on the next word, my money is on "Presence"

Ah! Got it. I didn't even think of trying to finish the word! I saw your link but wasn't sure what to do with it. Thanks. Smile

My best guess, so far, is:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
participantthirteeni (Participant 13 I)

Which decrypts to
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
...dicted success of phase

You just beat me to it, I got the same.
This is what I got:
Quote:
sitmmfajcpxlzwwilefm

Key:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
participant thirteen i

Result:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
dicted success of phase

All together gives:
Quote:
Participants should be warned external forces are trying to compromise the integrity of project ophiuchus. Thankfully past attempts have been unsuccessful and our servers have managed to withstand multiple denial of service attacks. However the predicted success of phase

Wonder who 'participant 13' is? Is/are him/her/they referring to one of us?

So, where do we go after cracking a Running Key Vigenere one-time-pad ? Evil or Very Mad
That's the 2nd one of those I've seen beaten in as many weeks.

Could be one of us, but most likely someone involved in the project.
Still, guess this is probably us for the night.
I guess we'll have to wait until after the countdown before anything happens.
