Quote:
In February 2007, more than 10,000 online game servers like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Halo, Counter-Strike and many others were attacked by "RUS" hacker group. The DDoS attack was made from more than a thousand computer units located in the republics of the former Soviet Union, mostly from Russia, Uzbekistan and Belarus. Minor attacks are still continuing to be made today.[citation needed]

The following is an analysis of "stacheldraht", a distributed denial
of service attack tool, based on source code from the "Tribe Flood
Network" distributed denial of service attack tool. [Note that
throughout this analysis, actual nicks, site names, and IP addresses
have been sanitized.]

Stacheldraht (German for "barbed wire") combines features of the
"trinoo" distributed denial of service tool, with those of the
original TFN, and adds encryption of communication between the
attacker and stacheldraht masters and automated update of
the agents.

Just two things that stood out to me... 1 for the German reference and the other because of the gaming reference

Just my thoughts:

1. PM didnt plan on us having the dits/dots done by now and didnt have anything lined up.

2. If this was a real DDoS attack, there wouldn't be that pretty little graphic that Sylvia very thoughtfully saved that says (in the same game font) DDoS.
You'd have a Regular Browser Error Message.

3. Russian/ German DDoS history is coincidental.

4. The 500 image is stegged somehow. (but i suck at desteg, almost as much as i suck at morse)

5. I like numbering my lists and i'm slightly more OCD than i thought i was. LOL

So essentially, the difference between a DDoS attack and a 500.13 page thingy is that DDoS's are malicious?

And can someone explain to me exactly what 'steg' means?

Don't say that. ALL input is welcome. You never know where things will lead. I think we won't see much for about 5 more hours though.

Fire in London

I wonder if everything is ok there. I've just read about the fire at Camden Market in North London. Sad

The DDoS page can be seen by rapidly reloading the site. IT remains to say the same unecrypted message in base64.

I wish I had kept track of all the passwords I have tried using Camo on 500.jpg, but pretty much every name, code type, associated thing and previously considered/used passwords have been tried, I think. Every one i have tried was tried all caps, all lower and first letter cap.

As my skills are simple sad at code breaking, I leave it to better hands (2 hours, with my ADHD I am proud, hehe).

note to self: list passwords as tried next time...

Yeah, I knew about the DDoS page coming up after reloading every so often.
And I'd checked the base64 as well.
As for a password, I tried a lot and forgot as well.

We should write down the passwords here that we've tried already.
Isn't it possible that the pics are not Camouflaged?
