Although both subjects are tied together, the content is very different so far. If we start talking about Jason in one post and Recruit 170 in the next, it's going to get very confusing. I agree that everything will converge here eventually, but until then I'd keep them apart. But that's just my opinion and I'm sure that konamouse or one of the other mods would have a better opinion of how to proceed.

Ok so...

I've had no other email conversation from Jason; last time I spoke to him I told him I'd speak to people and attempt to find someone in Dallas... So, would anyone like to speak up? lol

I have been re reading this and the Jason Thomas thread and I have some Thoughts that I would like to share:

1) We have never been told on the PO side of things that Martin and Rebecca are missing. We were told of three recruits that had not checked in and were given their numbers, but we have never been told that Martin and Rebecca are those numbered recruits. SO as far as the Project goes they may not be missing at all and are doing their appointed duties as scheduled.

2) I beleive it is possible that Martin and Rebecca are the sorce of the Security breaches that happened earlier. The reasoning behind this thought is the apparent efforts they are taking to leave clues for others to find. A Participant in PO that has its best intrests at heart would not leak information of the project to the outside world. Therefore, I think it may be likely that they are playing along with the Project in an effort to stop Phase 13. They may have even been the cause for the Abortion of Phase 12.

3) These are just thoughts, I may be wrong as I have said before this is my first ARG, and I may be thinking too much.

Wow, I've only been gone for a few days and look at how the storyline is progressing. I'm only gonna be home for a couple of hours, then back to the old grind. But offhand, I have to agree with Toasy that it is really confusing trying to keep up with 2 different sets of characters in one thread. I wish I had time to work on the wiki and find some way of meshing it all together well if it IS confirmed that they're linked. Oh well. Good luck guys.

Another Thought occured to me:

IF I am right about Martin and Rebecca being moles attempting to stop Phase 13, then that means the 2 Threads have opposite goals. The locatemyfriends group would be attempting to help stop phase 13 and the PO group would be trying to help complete it. Is that ever done in ARGs? 2 teams one winner, one loser?

It's an interesting launch concept. Start an ARG via different routes (that was done last year). That one melded into one goal/one story.

Having conflicting goals within the same ARG can pit players against eachother leading to hiding information and subterfuge - NEVER a good idea in a medium that is supposed to encourage community and cooperation.

If you have a puzzle that was started in locatemyfriends.uk then by all means that puzzle should stay in that thread (and not be brought over to PO). If you have a puzzle here in PO, keep it here.

Until you guys have absolute confirmation that it's all one game. Then you might have to pick one thread (or a dub it with one name and request a move to Potentials where you can have multiple threads all tagged with the game's initials).
