With all of the variations I have tried, I can say...

This is driving me APE!

The gates are opened:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
by clicking on the monkey in the bottom picture on the main page. I could post the username and passwords, but I think a lot of people would object to the "eyes on your own paper" rule. If there's no objection, I don't mind doing it. There's a big twist at the end.

We're allowed to share now.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The titles of 5D's music is 'Who Said'. It's a question. You're supposed to link up the lyrics with their quotes (direct or similar) in AiW, Chapter 4. Identifying who said the quote will give you the username/password.

The username is always the same as the password. Always all lowercase.

Gate 1: pat
Gate 2: dinah
Gate 3: whiterabbit
Gate 4: alice

The last gate asks - Who says 'I am Ape Language'?
I don't know where the solve for this is located. I know it's nowhere on 5D's site, as I combed the hell out of it, but I suspect it's somewhere on the SL site.

Gate 5: jonah

Cue surprise and laughter. ^_~

Thoughts on 5D's week

Dom has said before that the point of art is for it to make you think. Both diamond weeks that I have experienced (4 and 5) have certainly done their job there. These two diamond weeks have been extremely different from other weeks and required open-minded ways paired with thoughtful effort.

With 5D's week, by having us work alone, we were coaxed into thinking even more heavily than before. We had to truly think on it instead of relying on each other. If we actually stepped up to the challenge, I think we found that many of us are more intelligent than we realized.

Yet many people were surprisingly outraged at being told to work on their own instead of trying to meet the challenge head on. It seemed to me as though there was a limited number that tried to actually see what the week had to offer. Why can't they have one week with a different challenge? What is so terribly blasphemous about working on your own sometimes?

I'm terrible at puzzles, but I did my best and found that I was far better than I expected. I feel more confident now and definitely feel like I had to think far more that week than any before. I know myself and my abilities better, thanks to that week. I think it was an amazing lesson.

Basically, for me, it all boils down to respecting what SL sets forth and doing our best with it. Diamonds did their job. Do we do ours?

Don't get me wrong though, there are definitely people that fully step up to those weeks and love it. These Diamond weeks are not ignored, they just seem under appreciated to me. Smile

To strengthen the whole, we had to become stronger individuals.

I enjoyed 5D very much for that.
