Christopher Nolan allready has it all wrapped up. (extremely excited for Dark Knight)
And though Abrams could probably do a good job of it, my suspicions is that Tarantino wouldn't do so well (He's awesome, this just isn't his kind of movie).

I know Christopher Nolan already has it wrapped up and he has done an amazing job on it. I was just saying: Some of my friends and I were talking the other day and were just wondering how Abrams or Tarintino would do with a batman movie. It just seemed like an interesting subject. And I think either of them, esp. Tarintino would do a good job with a "The First Year" approach. Sorry.

Oh, you don't have to say sorry. It's all good fun to speculate on stuff like this.
How about Edgar Wright (Shaun of the Dead, Spaced, Hot Fuzz) doing a british superhero movie?

Edgar Wright is up to a Ant-man film, not a British superhero but should be good. Oh and don't forget the rumoured sci-fi spoof
shouldn't this tread be put some where elce?

I haven't seen much of Abrams' directing, but, if MI:III would be an indication of what he'd do, I don't think he'd be right for Batman.
Tarantino is a great director, in my opinion, but totally wrong for Batman. Imagine a Batman movie spliced together like Pulp Fiction. You'd be following multiple story-lines at once, with no clues to there chronological relation to each other (if there even were a relation), and you'd never find out what the villain was really up to.
I love Pulp Fiction, but I don't think I could watch a Batman movie like that.

Go watch Memento. Now imagine a Batman movie like that, also out of chronological order, with an unreliable narrator, a villain who both is and isn't a villain, etc etc. Would you want the same director doing Batman? Oh, wait!
Not all of Tarantino's work is like Pulp Fiction, of course. Still, I also can't imagine him doing a Batman movie in the same style, though I wouldn't have imagined Sam Raimi would direct Spider-Man to be a hit trilogy after watching the Evil Dead movies, so who knows?

You know... I'd be more comfortable with Abrams and Tarantino doing a Walking Dead movie..(If you don't know what The Walking Dead is, then search wikipedia, you bum!)... but not a Batman movie. There would be blood and gore everywhere in sight, and Abrams would be doing a retart ed viral campaign for it. So no, I wouldn't see a Batman movie directed by these two.

I think Walking Dead would do better as a mini-series. As a movie I don't think it would have the time needed to really put across the characters and the challenges they face. It would just be like every other zombie movie.

Abrams would do a decent job i think, but there are others out there more fit for this role.
As for Tarantino? No, just no.

Unforunately (and I use that word deliberately), there have already been two tries at making a Punisher film. I think it's fair to say that neither effort really lived up to the source material, which has a lot of rabid fans.
I don't disagree, though ... I think Tarantino could do a good job there as long as he resisted the urge to make it campy. However, I'd be very surprised to see anyone try to make a further Punisher picture.

Abrams and Tarantino culd definitely do a Punisher, because Abrams could create a somewhat decent story, and Tarantino has the action covered for the entire movie.
