They were before. The extra hint is in the source code.

I haven't looked at the myspace page yet. Went straight to http://www.thegatereaction.com/ then to http://www.thegatereaction.com/julie.html

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
from the source you count the w for each line

wwwww = 5
wwww = 4
www = 3

which gives
http://www.thegatereaction.com/543/ but takes you to http://www.thegatereaction.com/443/

Where you find a link to http://www.thegatereaction.com/443/Gqyzcjjy

which is rot 2 for Isabella and takes you to http://www.thegatereaction.com/443/Isabella

here you find some binary 01101110 01101111 01110100 01110111 01101000 01100001 01110100 01101001 01110100 01110011 01100101 01100101 01101101 01110011 00101110 01101101 01110000 00110011

which is notwhatitseems.mp3

which takes you to http://www.thegatereaction.com/443/Isabella/notwhatitseems.mp3

which sounds like it might be morse code slowed way down. That's all I can do tonight. I hear MrToasty is good at morse. and natas if you can slow it down you can speed it up.

As far as I'm concerned, give the guy a chance.

A bit tasteless in his desperation to save his game but who wouldn't.

I'll become interested when I see some interaction.

Take the morse part back just finished listen to it and it has a code that uses the numbers 1 and 2, I think, and dashes and spaces. Could use some help.

Will, if everyone waited for someone else to initiate interaction, there would be no args. I'm sure most PMs started out tasteless at some point. You never know, you may be overlooking a diamond in the rough.

ok, I get something like this but not sure I'm right.

Code:
1-2222-2  1222-2-112-22-12-12-22-12-112  111-2212  1-2222-2  2-12-1222

ETA: I corrected the code, I think this is right although sometimes the 2s sound like q's.

I understand your point. I personally don't like the idea of the PM posting here to lead his/her game along. Violation of ToS and shows uncreativity in his/her drive to bring people in.

But you've convinced me. I don't know much in the morse field but I'm in. But a word to Bowty; do not post here anymore. If you have questions you can contact the admins. While not managing web pages and puzzles, see if you can find creative ways to draw people in.

Thanks Will for understanding. I corrected the code above to what I believe is the correct code. But one more thing I want to say. If a bunch of us had of gotten upset because the PM posted in there thread the would have been a very good arg that would have been missed. "Findings Cedars Rapids," hey it made the hot list on ARGN.com.

Did I hear someone summon me? Smile
I haven't listened to the file much, so I'm just going on what Sylvia transcribed.

Correct except for one extra two at the end.

This does translate to Morse (1=dash, 2=dot)
Code:
- .... . / -... . --. .. -. -. .. -. --. / --- ..-. / - .... . / . -. -..

which is

Before the extra "hint" came out...

Spoiler text because it was used earlier.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I had tried 543 and 443. Neither worked for me. I tried using line by line because of the ends in each sentence. 543 didn't work because either he miscounted or we were only suppose to count starting W's. After the hint, they both worked.

I guess my point is, if you choose to pursue this, don't be surprised if there comes a time when you think you have the right answer but it doesn't seem to work. Ecspecially if a lot of people agree with you. Post about it and I'm sure it will be fixed. We are probably the first people outside of the OP and his friends to go through it.

Whether this is going to be the next great thing is absolutely irrelevant here. PM posting in their game threads is strictly forbidden. This is not a miscellaneous rule, but one of the founding principle of this forum. As per here, an admin may "look the other way for trailhead posts", but continued posting is a clear and inexcusable violation of TOS, if this is, indeed, intended to be more than just a puzzle trail.

I completely agree. There are not many rules on Unfiction, but this is one and we are very particular about it. And apart from it being a rule, it also boils pretty much down to this:

If not enough people become interested in your game, does the flaw lie with the potential public, or with (the way you marketed) your game?
