 		I've noted down which signs relate to which letters, and also how often each letter appears. Still not sure what do with it yet though...

Taurus = C x 3
Gemini = H x 3
Leo = G x 2
Virgo = D x 3
Libra = F x 1
Scorpio = B x 3
Sagittarius = A x 4
Capricorn = I x 4
Pisces = E x 3

 		Fixed my earlier post to say Sagitarius. Whoops! I always get the first letter right....

Darn, I was hoping if we put them in the order they fall in the year, it would lead to some wonderful thing.

I was expecting the same, but it doesn't appear to yeild any results. I can't help feeling that the squares are somehow important. I think the frequency of the letters may be a red herring, and perhaps we should be concentrating on what's MISSING, rather than what's there.

That leaves Aries, Cancer, and Aquarius. Hmm... nope, I'm none the wiser.

Hey the sound is ok now. I was having trouble getting it working...just needed to fiddle with the sound a little more.

What did it say for the start, and 1st and 2nd part of Case One?

We're all stuck right now on this one. I even tried some arts and crafts and cutting out the blank boxes to see if that gave me anything, and so far, nadda.

 		I thought maybe we could use the letter frequency as a clue, and take that number letter from the name of the star sign to get a word - but that gives me IOURSLEMR - which ALMOST looks like it could be something, but not quite.

Hello I'm Wendy Skinery, and this is my story. I used to be a photographer, and now I'm 285 days pregnant, and the person, or the occupant, is not looking like they want to vacate the premises anytime soon. So I'm just waiting at the moment and (phone rings) everything is driving me crazy.

Wendy's phone conversation with her mom:

(Phone rings) Hello mum…what…no, I can't hear you. Look, you're breaking up, the signal's really bad round here…what?...No, I'm fine! Yes! I'm fine! Thank you for--…No, mum I really can't hear you very well…yeah I just said the reception's really bad…re—yeah—the rec—yeah I'm gonna go now, yeah I'm fine, honestly, yeah honestly, yes, yeah, (a bang), I'm going now – I'm going now, mum. Mum, I'm going…Mum…Okay BYE! BYE! (hangs up) Why does she have to interfere all the time? I can do this on my own! I'm a big girl, I can look after myself!

Wendy's second video transmission:

Ok, well, um, very briefly, I've been here for a few weeks; I'm in my grandfather's house, and, he left it to me in his will. He, from what I know of him, he was a really really lovely bloke, his name was Henry and he went to Sri Lanka about 10 years ago and then when we heard he died, in his will he left this place to me, and it's this massive house, and as it turns out I've been sitting here all day…and to get to the point: I've been going through all the archives, he's got so many photos, family photos, from when we were kids and pictures of my parents, and, well, actually there's this picture of him, there, that's Henry. And to bring me to the point there's THIS guy too. Can you see him? It's really weird because he just keeps appearing in all the pictures. And, like, there's this one here as well. Can you see that one? And also, even weirder, it's this one as well, with my mum. And I can't help but be just really intrigued…it's just really weird how he doesn't seem to age and he's in all of the photos. And I don't know if its my hormones and I'm just losing it a bit but I mean it's in all of the photos, and I've never seen these photos before. It's just…really intriguing me. (loud door bang and girl giggles).

After finding Wendy's page:

This is Poliakov. This is a brand new case, and we have some additional client information just coming in. Wendy Skinery is uploading information as we speak. She is alone in an isolated house in the open countryside of Somerset, southwest England. She is very heavily pregnant; her family are several hours' drive away. Even the neighboring farmhouse is out of shouting distance. This makes Wendy Skinery a priority 1 case.

Wendy's third transmission:

That's really weird as well. Cause that's been happening quite a lot and I don't know whether it really is my hormones or am I losing my head—(starling loud giggling). I keep hearing doors slamming and little girls—it sounds like a little girl it might just be the neighbors or something…Um, she giggles and she slams doors, so, to be quite frank, I think I'm just going to go now because I'm losing my head.

After identifying the girl's name:

Who is that child who seems to be plaguing Wendy's house? Is she a real child? Is she a spirit?

Wendy's fourth transmission:

I just wanted to show you this as well. I found my..it looks like my granddad drew this. It's a notebook and…it just looks like a storybook for children or something. I also found this (shows painting done by a child – door slams loudly) (door is stuck closed) (Wendy knocks) Let me out! (paper is pushed under the door)

 		I think we might be missing something here. You get to the link for the artifact from the tree (the hand target on which you click doesn't appear anywhere else on the web page), which previously has been shown to us as a family tree, presumably Wendy's family. Since there are three missing zodiacal signs, should we assume that we need to figure out which people those signs represent? I'm not sure how, and if that will get us our answer, but it seems like it is relevant.

The only other thing I can think of is looking at the other imagery on the drawings page. I darkened the image in PhotoShop a bit so that you could see what everything was. I'm attaching the file.

I think the upper left image might be representing the phases of the moon, since there are eight circles around--some kind of Druidic stone circle reference, I'd assume. (That would be assuming we have stages in between full and first crescent, first crescent and half, etc.) I could be way off on that, of course.

The bottom right, which I couldn't quite make out, looks like a fountain, with two animals--a crab and a fish. Maybe Pisces and Cancer?

Not sure about the submarine. I tried to figure out if the key and piano gave us a chord somehow, but since the link isn't from there, I'm not sure that's going to help us on this particular puzzle.

well....maybe we should pay attention to the letters I, C, and E because it is artifact ICE...and ICE - A Scan

If we take the # letter in each sign...it spells RUS....but that doesn't do anything. But lets continue to think about what significance ICE has?

That's a good point. One thing I have thought of was maybe they were going for which kinds of signs the three missing ones are, and thought maybe that would give us the answer. But I tried "Earth" and also "earth," and didn't get anything. I even tried the other three (air, fire, water) but that didn't get me anywhere.

The only other thing I can think of is that ICE is frozen water, but I think that might be a stretch.

EDIT: Decided to check the tarot references to the signs, but that doesn't seem to help, either, but I'll include the info just in case. Here are the tarot cards which are related to the zodiacal signs.

Aries = The Emperor = IV (major arcana 4)
Cancer = The Chariot = VII (major arcana number 7)
Aquarius = The Star = XVII (major arcana number 17)

Rats. I think the Antarctica reference sounds more helpful.

 		The coordinates listed for where the artifact was found are in Antarctica. I thought maybe the ice stood for artifice.

markzpot has solved this and isn't telling.
