Just because I like cake, really. XD

And no.

I disagree... We were actually close to doing it.

We'd already worked out [with the help of Will] the 50million part. It was working on the "I'm in" part.

To be honest once we'd figured out the latter I'm quite surprised we didn't get "I'm [1] in 50 million"

But hey... As far as we know this might be a project with a deadline... *Shrug*

We can't go around blaming the PM for what we believe to be clues too difficult to decipher... Hell if this WAS "real" - They wouldn't be leaving us clues anyway, we'd need to work them out ourselves.

The cake is a lie!

And no.

-gasps-

Cake is fab!

And... bother. Laughing

So, I guess there's not much else we can do until we hear from 1in50, no?

It's not a lie! It's not! I saw it! It's real! Real I tell you! Wink
My thanks to Will for the help by the way. I guess we wait for now the.

As for the deadline, it may be being lined up with another event, like some astronomy thingmy.

Also, how about The Zodiac Brave for a name?

Very true. Didn't realize how close we'd gotten.... But, at the same time, Jason gave us that reddy = money. That part he helped us with too. The million and I think the co.uk bits we got ourselves, though he confirmed the suspicions we had on the million front.

I've been looking at mythology and the like, and with the theory that Ophiuchus is based off Laocoon, the Trojan Priest, Serpens seems all the more appropriate since, ultimately, Laocoon was killed by giant snakes from the sea.

You know something... As much as this sounds like bull... The first thing that sprung to mind when I read "Reddy" was money [being where I'm from]

But I cast it aside because I thought it was too far fetched...

I'll learn that in future no matter how STUPID it sounds, in an ARG it's probably correct!

Actually Zaranai, it's more widely believed that Ophiuchus came from the Greek myth about the healer Asclepius who was rumoured to be so great he could revive the dead.
Maybe a hint at what PO are trying to do, healing miracles or resurrection. It fits in with that whole researching of miracles worldwide thing in Dani's mail.
Maybe we should go for something connected more to that myth as it's more appropriate to this game. Or even better, just forget about it and forgoe a name.
And yes, even trivial facts can become vital clues in an ARG. Which can make them so frustrating at times Very Happy

Or chocolate. I like chocolate too. Laughing

Curiouser and Curiouser

So, as you know, Andy solved the third fax and it led us here… http://1in50million.co.uk

From what I've read so far, these guys are against turning on the LHC at CERN. Apparently there's a 1 in 50 million chance of the world exploding or something. I don't really understand it to be honest. One thing's for sure however, is that they have conflicting interests to Martin. Martin actually works for CERN. My guess is that stopping them from pressing the big red button (I'm assuming it's red) will put Martin out of a high paid job, and probably go against most of his beliefs. I guess he's one of those radical scientists that hate being told they're not allowed to experiment.

So, I don't really know what to make of all this. Thanks to Sylvia to the catch up about Project Ophiuchus.

What follows is just what I've tried to work out so far, logical deductions and yada yada…

It would seem that Martin and Rebecca are heavily involved with Project O, to the extent that they're carrying project data on their person at all times. They're also missing, along with the project data (which we now have) and an organisation that doesn't like what CERN are doing.

I think I need to grab an early night (for me anyway), all of this has given me a headache.

Maybe he's giving us a breakdown so we can work on it together.

Well, I'm off to bed. Need a good nights sleeps after all. And also to play more Apollo Justice...
If you must, decide on a name between you all. Later everyone!

PRE-EMPTIVE EDIT: In light of Ellie's post, I also find it disturbing the PM decided to go to bed at the same time as me Shocked

OK I am caught up on the happenings of the last few hours. I would like to claim that I was close to solving the 1 in 50 million thing but that would just be a lie. I sent a simple request for info about the orginization through the web site link. I also signed the petiton using Topsy Kretz as my name.

I know I dont post often but I am spending as much effort trying to solve these puzzles as everyone else its just you guys are quicker than me at this point. Also I am limited by my work schedule. They seem to expect me to use the net for productive means only.

Productive reasons to use the internet only? Srsly? Those weirdos. There's not enough prooductive stuff on the internet to fill a day. ;P

With Asclepius as Ophiuchus, I vote for with something to do with killing snakes. That's the one where he learned how to do it by watching one snake bring herbs to another, yes? *shrugs* No idea on a name, tho, outside Aquilans. Can't think of anything else relating to constellations, much less the zodiac.

Zodiac Brave's fine by me too, tho I must say I'm against Chocolate Zodiac. That's just silly. ;P

Wow, drive home and people are off and running. I guess I don't understand this immediate need to be some organized super-secret fifth column, but whatever.

I would like to point out a good read for something that might become an issue here given the nature of this game and the road we seem to be heading down:

You Traitor!

Just so that people think a bit before using info discussed here to snitch on fellow players...
