Since the 1 in 50 million site refferences Higgs Boson I thought i might be useful to know what it is. I came across this article that while somewhat tongue in check explains the Higgs Boson Particle in laymans terms if anyone is interested.http://gizmodo.com/359532/scientists-looking-for-the-force-finally-put-cerns-large-hadron-collider-to-good-use

Ok I'm really confused by that... It seems as though ariock is asking whether or not we deem it necessary to share our personal findings with everyone else here?

I thought that's what all these forums were about? Say for example this one... Is to share our findings and as a community work out puzzles/codes etc is it not?

OR

Is Ariock saying that it's probably NOT a good idea to go one sided IG and keep info because someone else may snitch on you, IG?

I'm seriously confuddled.

Edit: Nvm I get it.

This is why I said I shall never say whether or not I'm jumping ship or w/e. - I'll do what I'm doing and I'll share ANY info I get via IMs/Emails. I'm here to advance the story not my own popularity/notority.

Moral I got from the story is not to tattle to characters about what's going on OOG. Or rather, what players are doing with other characters.

It made me giggle that CERN's page about safety seriously says "Microscopic black holes will not eat you..." and for the next heading, "...Nor will strangelets."

I wasn't suggesting we started ratting people out or anything like that! Just having different people responsible for the different side's interactions, really.

I'll be honest, the idea was mostly borne out of the fact that I haven't spoken to any other 'side' yet, so considered myself 'neutral' in that respect. But I don't mind whichever way. I'll go with the majority. Smile

I think if the PMs want/need 'sides' - something'll happen IG to move us in the direction.

Makes sense to me... So long as we don't name names or point fingers, talking to all 3 sides should work out fine. Keep everything to "an organization" and stick to the story that there's no names to be found out and there won't be any problems.

PO Partici-cruits are only known by numbers, for goodness sake. It's a plauisble story. XD

Because then we can be super-sekrit-ninjas. And ninjas are cool. Plus, we can have a name! Even cooler!

Oh, and I didn't mean that we were already at the point of ratting others out, just be aware that depending on how the game plays out, some people might think of using such information to get ahead at the expense of other players. My takeaway point from the discussion was that information here should be viewed as OOG, otherwise the collaborative environment quickly deteriorates.

I'd like to keep playing, so may I join the group? I know I haven't contributed much besides recruiting Zaranai, but... Wink

I may be displaying a keen grasp of the obvious here, but I'm thinking that Project Ophiuchus might not be simply a "Pro-LHC" group, but rather something that is piggybacking, so to speak. So, they may want the "button" to be pushed to start their own "healing" thing. Then again, I may need more caffeine. Confused

So, do I have fins now?

Jeez, highwind, chill. The reason I suggested that we give ourselves a name was because that way we won't have to refer to "the group" or "the collective" or "the rest of us" when talking about...well...the rest of us. It just makes it easier...gives it a more organized, official feel. For me, anyway.
Not that I'm implying that we're like the Borg or anything xD

Someone might want to add all this stuff about the 'teams' theory and the huge-giant-possibly-exploding-thingamabob-in-the-sky-that-could-potentially-kill-us-all (as well as the one on Earth) to the wiki. I added a bit about the LHC (to the 'theories' page) but that was it, sorry.

With how very off the wall all the clues have been, we need every brain we can get workin' on this stuff. I doubt there's going to be any "No you has cooties you canno join our club!" here. No membership to it, just something to use when referring to the crowd. XD

Besides, I'll vouch for ya. You're good people. ;D

Actually you quoted me. Wink

I think I understand what you were getting at now, especially seeing how confusing the existing groups are right now. I just want to make sure we give the PMs time to let the story unfold before we assume the characters' affiliations are foregone conclusions. I'd also hate to think that forming groups would present a barrier to new players who want to join the game. The PO side has already done that to some extent I'd guess.

I would like to point out a good read for something that might become an issue here given the nature of this game and the road we seem to be heading down:

You Traitor!

Just so that people think a bit before using info discussed here to snitch on fellow players...

Heh, I was reading that yesterday myself. And I doubt I'd be snitching on any players anyway. That sorta undermines the whole community effort thing we have going on, and I don't want to wreck that.
