So... Are we going under the assumption that Martin works for a legit company in Switzerland?

Been running around all day again today. You guys have given me some good leads, but I'm still confused.

Usually when this happens the website has updated but I haven't checked yet.

Oh. One more thing I just remembered. When I was in Rebecca's office yesterday, I saw a green number '13′ stuck on the wall. I guess it's probably nothing though.

Perhaps the Texas link is possible. I know that Martin was on a work trip to the USA, to give a lecture about the groundbreaking work they're doing with the LHC. I wonder what those numbers mean.

I'm guessing he means the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, near Geneva.

Here's the whole update, in clues...

More running around
Ok, so you guys gave me a few leads. I'm not really sure yet what it all means. Clocks and USB sticks and Texas and riddles. One thing's for sure though, and it's that I've never heard of a 'stegged' image. Do you really think they're hiding something in their facebook profiles, aren't they a bit too public?

I've been back to the house today, more news reporters are there, and I can't get anywhere near the inside of the house. I spoke to the Police, and they can't comment on what they did or didn't find on Rebecca or Martin's computer, but I don't expect it was much, since they haven't found them yet!

Perhaps the Texas link is possible. I know that Martin was on a work trip to the USA, to give a lecture about the groundbreaking work they're doing with the LHC. I wonder what those numbers mean. Oh, and about the USB theory, I know that both Rebecca and Martin have one. But doesn't everybody?

What do you think we should investigate next? I'm starting to feel like I'm at a loose end with this one.

Oh. One more thing I just remembered. When I was in Rebecca's office yesterday, I saw a green number '13′ stuck on the wall. I guess it's probably nothing though.

Now... Either Jason is a little less 'tech savvie' than some of us here or the whole USB idea's a red herring... I'm still going to ask him to check out their USB sticks.

As far as the green 13 goes. I'm @ a loose end on that one.

As for LHC, I'm guessing the Large Hadron Collider too.

Edit: googled "Green 13" and got the band http://www.green13.com/ But... I have a feeling it's completely OT and OOG... They're based on Seattle.

Also this is the LHC research...

Research

A Feynman diagram of one way the Higgs boson may be produced at the LHC. Here, two quarks each emit a W or Z boson which combine to make a neutral Higgs.
A simulated event in the CMS detector, featuring the appearance of the Higgs boson. When in operation, about seven thousand scientists from eighty countries will have access to the LHC, the largest national contingent of seven hundred being from the United States. Physicists hope to use the collider to test various grand unified theories and enhance their ability to answer the following questions:

Is the popular Higgs mechanism for generating elementary particle masses in the Standard Model realised in nature? If so, how many Higgs bosons are there, and what are their masses?[8]
Will the more precise measurements of the masses of the quarks continue to be mutually consistent within the Standard Model?
Do particles have supersymmetric ("SUSY") partners?
Why are there apparent violations of the symmetry between matter and antimatter?
Are there extra dimensions indicated by theoretical gravitons, as predicted by various models inspired by string theory, and can we "see" them?
What is the nature of dark matter and dark energy?
Why is gravity so many orders of magnitude weaker than the other three fundamental forces?

The first time I had heard about CERN was when I read Dan Brown's Angels and Demons. I believe a movie is coming out in 2009. Would that be a long time to drag out an ARG? They probably aren't related anyway.

I'm not sure if it's related.... Was AnD about Anti-Matter?

Jason replied to my comment.

I guess the 13 just stood out as being more than a number, almost like a symbol. Ask around, hopefully someone will know if it's linked.

Really must go now.. soo tired. Keep me posted with more ideas!

Yeah the LHC is supposed to be going online soon, its like a huge thing in Physics, Theyve got the potential to create small black holes. Apparently they could potentially destroy the earth

There are apparently 13 illuminati bloodlines by the way.
13 has big symbolgical uses in freemasonry too

Yeah... See it should have been the first thing I thought of because [OOG] I'm a real big nut when it comes to Conspiracy theories, The Illuminati etc etc... Been researching them/it for the past 13yrs [ironically lol]

Anyone think that's a little TOO indepth to put forward to Jason? Or Silver, do you wanna go ahead and link that to him through the blog?

Edit: The other problem is not being able to join the Oxford, UCL or NHS networks on Facebook to speak to people as you have to have valid emails to those entities...

No offence but I'm kind of hoping this isn't related though as I don't know if I'll have the time to backtrack through 40+ pages for Project O to get upto speed Sad

Sorry to interrupt--
but does anyone think this might be related to Project Ophiuchus?

To elaborate - just this morning we've been given a clue in Project Ophiuchus that leads us to believe we will have characters named.... wait for it...
Martin and Rebecca.

Too early to tell if this is just coincidence, but this one is also coming out of the UK.

As I said uptop. I'm KINDA hoping this isn't related no offence because I dunno if I could find the time now to backtrack through Project O to get upto speed... But THIS did intrigue me in the P.O thread.

Heres a question:

Dani knows recruit 13 is dead.

I'm sure Dani (and everyone else) knows that there were originally 169 recruits.

I am guessing Dani knows that punchline asked to be renumbered from 13 and was assigned 170.

Now Dani has placed recruit 170 to be in charge... (knowingly placed a person claiming to be a dead recruit (likely verified) in charge of the new phase... the 13th phase, which is likely significant based upon the name of Ophiuchus).

Could Dani be setting us up? Or is this how Project Ophiuchus normally grows? Dani and recruit 169 (whom punchline originally told he was the not-dead 13) likely just verified what happened to 13 in Spain.

I think this whole thing is about to get much deeper, and rapidly.

Jason said there was a number "13" on Rebecca's door... 0_o

Hello, noob here...

I hope I'm not breaking some sort of protocol by jumping in, but this looks like fun. Smile

The 13th Element is Aluminum, and various forms of it are used in Dark Matter research at CERN and other labs. Here's one of many links: http://cerncourier.com/cws/article/cern/28594
