So who's going to watch you die?...

How about: "Do you think that the Cloverfield Monster really and truly represents an American version of Godzilla and how?"

I didn't read the whole thread so I might have a duplicate question:
What is MGP/the creature's natural habitat?
Was it sleeping for all of these years?
What does it eat?

Minor setback. I was doing a last once-over before I emailed the questions and researching the "parasite" questions when I found this: http://io9.com/357856/io9-talks-to-cloverfield-monster-designer-neville-page
Turns out io9 has asked a number of the questions I'd intended to, and the answers answer many of the questions posted in this thread. So, based on the above interview, any follow-up questions?

Well damn, that really did answer many of those questions...

Ask about a little more description on its other methods of eating...
Also... ask if he is allowed to show us all his concept art for the monster AND the parasites. Tell him he'll get some virtual brownies if he does.
Ask him just what the hell those parasites DO to people in order to make em go 'splody...
And finally... ask him (if he knew about it) what he thought about all of our crazy ideas, such as the ITS A LION, + the fanarts that showed up.
*EDIT* two additional questions... How long before the movie was released did he actually begin working with them?
If MGP is a younger version, how much different would a full grown... whatever... look? He described it as being like a young deer... would its arms bulk up more as it grows, or stay fairly lanky lookin?

What did he think of the infamous giant-whale concept art?
How long did he have to design MGP, and how much creative control was he given when it came to contributing to the overall appearance?
Also...ask for some Avatar info!

HERE ARE THE SORT OF QUESTIONS THAT ARE WORTH ASKING What inspirations went into "Clover's" unique appearance?
What inspirations went into creating the parasites?
What sort of purpose do the extra appendages on "Clover's" abdomen serve?
Do you have your own personal name for it, or do you also call it "Clover?"
As an artist myself, I know that any artist is his/her own worst critic, what would you have done differently to "Clover"?
Did you consider any sort of origin or was an origin of the creature presented to you to help contribute to "Clover's" appearance?
Do you plan on putting any concept pieces of "Clover" and the parasites on your website?

Some of your questions are answered in the interview linked in this thread and linked in its own thread earlier.

Hope its not too late, but since he said that he had about 50 sketched ideas of what clover would be....
Quote:
There were many different versions that we explored as we were all looking for what it could be. There were tentacles, there were fewer limbs, more limbs, no limbs... big, broad strokes in search of Clover.
ask him if he plans to release some of those ideas onto his website or if they are gone for good.

Sorry. The questions went out yesterday. Speaking of which, by the time I was finally done formulating them, they really didn't lend themselves to direct attribution. By that I mean, I tried to write the questions both indirect and combine similarly aimed questions into one. So I'm going to have to renig on my promise to attribute certain questions to those of you who submitted. Instead I'll attribute Unfction in general.
Thanks for the brainstorming.

Undoubtedly those of us who recognize our questions in your questions will brag about it.

When are you going to be interviewing him, and approximately how long from then will you put the interview up online? I'm curious to see what he says.
