1. People don't like it when people post twice in a row to the same thread, so watch yourself Razz

2. IMDb is full of people you don't want to meet in a dark alley. Or a well lit shopping mall. Or.. well.. anywhere.

I remember a topic awhile back (November or earlier, IIRC) with someone trying to start a popular support campaign to name the monster Aladygma. The topic seems to have been lost in the forum reorg tho.

He gave the origins of the name also.

Then it degenerated into flames and 'I like XX name better'

So I did a bit of searching on "aladygma".

I found this photo on a foreign blog:

http://www.blog.fr/media/photo/00_11_22_88/2353820

It's kinda creepy in a way..... and it looks as though it's a film negative.

Anybody able to make anything out of this, or is it a hoax meant to lead us on?

Just a couple things I noticed about the picture I just posted a link to:

-It almost looks as though there's something with eyes towards the left of the picture.

-There are burn marks on the lower half of the negative (the pinkish stuff)

-It looks like there's an image of some sort BEHIND the negative, but I'd have no clue how to get rid of what's in front of it (you can see it towards the bottom, and in the scratches in the middle)

This is starting to look awfully complicated to be a hoax, I would have to say that if this is OOG, it's probably IG for something else...

OK, now I'm waiting for response of Tragruato, hehe.

Or, better, I hope we'll get new companies and many new characters. *going-to-look-up-mySpace*

more and more things are beginning to appear for this.

it could be IG but for something different.

it if is, perhaps, a Bad Robot film why wouldn't they follow the same marketing as Cloverfield?

not even Bad Robot. but any production team.

thanks to JJ Abrams, I believe a lot more movies/games will use an ARG or ARE to grab people's attention.

while I am really hoping it involves Clovey... I think it's a little too soon. Last time I had checked (according to Variety in the beginning of Feb), Paramount was still in disucssions with Reeves and Goddard.

on the other hand -- the marketing dept could have had this all mapped out before the first movie was even released. it's extremely possible.

We found "48 Hours in Purgatory" while doing Clover skips. So this might just be another ARG.

PM's utilize "our community" to launch their games. Although here it is illegal to be a PM doing drive bys, it still happens. Especially with course corrections.

Just so you know, there is much and I mean mucho skepticism when a user with 1 post to their name drops into the site and does something like "OMFG, have you seen this site?". The same applies for gamejacks.

An obsessive gamejacker will spend hours posting in all kinds of forums all over the net to give support to their "theories" and link ins to their site.

Even if this is OOG (Ethan Haas-ish, for example), that's the way it all started, pretty much, the first time, and it all turned out alright in the end. I don't see where following things like this could be any more harmful than last time.

Oh, and btw, "Aladygma" is da shiz. Sounds...funky.

You all do know that EthanHaas was a LEGIT puzzle trail/ARE for an RPG called Alpha & Omega right?????(uF Vets ....I know you all knew this).

A lot of you make it sound like Haas was a deliberate attempt to fool people into believing that it was a part of Cloverfield. I didn't and this situation is so far from that situation it's silly.

PS: This is definitely NOT connected to Cloverfield in any official way....no if's, and's or but's.
It makes NO sense why the ARE for Cloverfield would be still ongoing, and it makes NO sense why they would even start a new ARE/VMC/ARG for a sequel at this time. People would need to be paid for this to be the case, and I just don't see it.
As someone here so eloquently stated:
They promised us a movie....not a [damned] lifestyle!!!!!!!

No you don't...You remember a person trying to name it "Aphynos". That makes a world of difference in the topic this thread is over. With that one piece of mis information you just gave, could have killed the discussion...

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=22214

Back on topic, that site has "start date" (No quotes) written in small print to the left.. And a l a d y g m a (c) on the right in small print....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Start_date

Just odd....

Also, in the bottom right, in small print...It says, Coming soon next day?

Very strange, probably OOG maybe? I'll still investigate until something happens.
