although, now I'm reconsidering it...

no. but. I was actually talking about all those crazy Clover freaks who have a seizure when there is speculation of a LOST connection.

what's the need for it? it's so silly.

if it's connected, then it's connected. if it's speculation, then it's speculation. there's no need for people to FREAK OUT!!!!!!!! about it.

ya know?

in the long run, the connection is somewhat irrelevant. unless Clovey makes an appearence on ABC.... Rolling Eyes

Hahah, well trust me, I'm not gonna flip out either way. If Cloverfield is connected to Lost in a more concrete way, I'll love it. But I'm not gonna flip out if there's no connection. there.

Dude, the reason people "freak out" about it is that there are tons of other threads in which this theory and or possible connection is discussed. And yet, time and time again the little prick rears it's ugly head. It's frustrating.

Not that I really care because it was discussed already, but where exactly do you see the storylines crossing to support this kind of thing?

A tie-in twixt the two would ruin one or the other storyline.

I have watched LOST since it's inception. If there is a tie-in, being a LOSTIE it would completely destroy the "reality" of Cloverfield.

However if you are talking about specific character lineage from LOST like WIDMORE or DHARMA being involved in the creation of and or distribution of said creature then perhaps that could happen but in the end why?

Forgive me, I am packing up boxes for the the move to TOOMAN. Later.

OK, so there's tons of other threads where it's discussed... Has any of those threads had tellings of PROOF of a connection? I'm saying there's proof, and soon you'll all get to hear it for yourselves...

For now enjoy trashing the notion over and over again, it doesn't matter. If the writer and CREATOR says it's true, you must accept it.

 		I think a connection might be a possibility, but Lost and Clover might not exist on the same world, but have similar entities, much like most of stephen king's books. And there's no reason to freak out, just because you may hate lost and there might be a connection wont mean you'll have to hate clover too, thats what i think ppl are afraid of...

Well that's not very fair, I love both Lost and Cloverfield, and i'm a big JJ Abrams fan, so the fact that the two connect in ANY way is just awesome!

Just because you don't like Lost it doesn't mean you should feel resentment towards JJ on trying to connect the universe. It's HIS properties, and HIS ideas. Without them we would have none of this...

I think, if you're a fan of Cloverfield, be happy about where it's CREATOR wants to take it. After all, there's nothing we can do about it... Short of kidnapping JJ and forcing him to stop making connections within his universe of stories and projects.

Which is pretty ridiculous... Just sit back and enjoy the ENTERTAINMENT, because folks, that's all it is.

I don't mind mild, unobtrusive connections, ie Slusho!. But, it Dharma shows up as being in anyway associated to the monster's origin, etc. in the sequel: I'd still tell JJ it's dumb.

Why would you say it's "dumb" and not cool!? If you do like Lost, than you should embrace 2 things you like coming together! Like peanut butter and jelly!! Think of Dharma Initiative candy bars, and SLUSHO! MMMM!

whether it's related to LOST or not, it's still a movie we have all been following closely since last Summer.

even if it was related to the television show it doesn't change much.. for me.

I don't know about "lame"... The word I would use would be Bummer! But then again, it would be pretty cool if monsters were real... Dangerous and frightening, but cool!

Though, not cool if all those people in NY died because of a real "Clover" incident.

slusho seemed to have NOTHING to do with cloverfield. i only seen one referance to it on jasons shirt.
