I SEARCHED, i really did
i was doing some random surfing and came across this which is definitely OOG, because its a real news story from 2002. But its kinda cool, and related to the subject matter at hand:

I'm not sure if there was an exact thread it was posted on, but people have always known about the bloop thing.

All we know is that the idea of it being related to 1-18-08 predates August 2007.

I know its been discussed a lot, but that was WAAAY back when. So in this case it is a little unfair to give him any type of fish.

Anyways, yea, this was brought up VERY early. Still an interesting idea though, woulda loved to see it in the movie somewhere, like a news reporter suggesting that it might be connected or something.

The whale shark is for the fact that bloop has been discussed before so many times on different threads, that tons of relevant posts and topics must've popped up when he searched.

A whale shark seems fitting.

 		i figured it would have been brought up, but when i searched i just got BLOOPers or random uses of the word bloop. Whale Shark, kinda cool lol. Thanks lambo, yeah, it woulda been cool too, but just the fact that this was real and pretty much confirmed to be a huge living thing is sweet. Why haven't we searched for this thing yet?

 		Because it came from depths which we cannot attain, and it hasn't repeated itself. There's no real pressure to search for it.

 		You realize that you might have to search for more than just the world "Bloop", right?

In fact, in a matter of seconds, I just found multiple discussions about the Bloop by searching for "Bloop" and "Sound"...in the same search!.
