Starmaker? Finally got in on the ground floor of an ARG!
The name "the Starmaker" strikes me as odd ... could it be an allusion to something? I tried searching "Alice in Wonderland" for something about stars, but didn't come up with much ...

Christolina Minaret is anagramable, see my previous post for the link to my investigation on that.

I could well be wrong here (I often am) however I don't think the cards will be tarot cards. Given the Alice theme I reckon it's playing cards.
Also I'm not convinced about the anagram solution for Christolina Minaret, sorry

I was thinking it might be playing cards too, especially since they keep talking about not having a full hand, makes me think a card game rather than tarot card readings. I could be wrong though, I'm new to this so you'll have to bear with me!
I also thought that Christolina Minaret could be the "dormouse" character and maybe she (or he) is the other person who discovered the mirror with Marsh-Ayre and Hattie. Not sure what made me think this, just an idea.
Have we had any response from Alice today? I was half expecting an update on treacle and ink...

Cristolina Minaret = The Tower
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
That's our third card, which very heavily implies she's the third person.
The fact she seems to be from a different time period does back up Wukka's story-hopping proposition, which also fits nicely with the Borges / Mirror of Ink references.
D'oh. Sorry. Stoopid.

Not really of any importance, just another wonderland reference I noticed reading back over treacle and ink; Alice mentions dead heading roses a few times when she's talking about inspiration for her first book.
Could be a link to the playing cards "painting the roses red" and the queen of hearts later commanding "off with their heads"?
Like I said, not really important just another nice little link there.

I'm really pleased with this, I was a bit annoyed that the Slice story had ended so suddenly and leaving us hanging so much, so hopefully the story will continue, maybe Slice can find our March Hare and Mad Hatter too...?

Hmmm maybe the second story is going to run a little longer? I wonder if it's because they've read that we're not happy about the ending?
Also Alice has a new post up. Interesting too, her watch has been affected and it's mechanics reversed, also someone has tried to break into the shop, probably the person who was interested in the mirror, aaand most interesting of all, her copy of Mythological Objects proved to just be the book jacket.
So where does that leave us? Was there something we missed on the book site? Interesting also that March Hare's library page didn't list MO... Maybe it's just that we aren't supposed to warn Alice away from the mirror....or are we supposed to find another way?

Thank god she finally broke into that display case, she was really annoying me on that one so I can stop being quite so annoyed at her now. Although, extremely disappointing that it wasn't the book inside (and if it wasn't the right book, of course it could be no other book than Alice in Wonderland )
We must be missing something and surely it must be something on the Spinankle site... it seems to be littered with cloos but nothing concrete

Curiouser and curioser.
I've emailed Alice to ask about her knowledge of Tarot, and what's on those three cards specifically. I've also enquired about purchasing an old hardback copy of Alice in Wonderland, if she happens to have one lying around the shop.
And batgirl; I think that we've got a lot useful from the spinankle page. The card references led us to confirming the identities (maybe) of the three people who found the mirror, and presented us with other information that sets things up nicely as we go along.
There may well be more there that falls into place later, but I don't think we're actually missing anything serious at this juncture.

It just seems like we can't go any further at the moment though, which doesn't seem right when we've only just had the latest story out. Maybe there is more in the story we haven't found yet....
