brainstorming - looking for MJ

I think we missed something... we should have found something about Mary Jane... there are a lot of things we know but still didn't bring to anything:
* mary jane used to love horses so much. Why would they tell us something like this if it had no meaning?
* the car accident in Florida, with a truck coming from New Orleans. again, details, maybe they mean something.
* how exactly did ray and lynn meet betty and joey? they said on this support group, focusas.com, but there you have no way to speak to other parents, it's just stuff to read.

Another song from Nick Drake, this time about MJ!

Think we should be looking at him more!

I've been wondering why there were 3 versions of "Go ask Alice" in spinankles library, so I had another look, followed some links which led me to this

Neat! I tried to find it myself, but couldn't. Which links did you follow?

I went through the members comments, not sure if you need to sign up to see them, I signed up straight away just in case I could send Spin a message, but I couldn't, alas. Sad

We have got the as-yet-unexplored phoenix link to Mary Jane, but no-one seems interested in asking her stuff. When I get some time tomorrow I'll send her something back to the message I posted a few pages back, from her asking for help finding Mary Jane.

I apologise, this item has already been sold. However, I shall be putting more items up for sale shortly, and will inform you when I do so.

Does someone here have it? And doesn't this open a whole load of new ideas Smile

How have you contacted her? I have added her as a LJ friend but I can't see a way of messaging :/

I was just waiting for one of the Frenchies to get into the office to check this Smile He said it translates to Jack Fromtheheart which is Jack of Hearts to me! Maybe it was Alice who has bought the book?!

I suspect she didn't know - as Alice's Knave of Hearts is known for his pilfering tendencies isn't he?

I had to e-mail the seller through hotmail, as I don't have outlook on my computer. I haven't heard anything. I did, however, send the link to Alice as soon as I found it, so maybe she has managed to get it?

I doubt whether he would choose to sell it to her, of all people! Smile Smile

The point

I think we're missing it...

I personally think that the important part of this is that Jacques was the seller, and therefore clearly pilfered the version from the display case. We know he knew where the key was. Basically Jack knows significantly more than he's letting on.

I'm putting the next bit in spoiler, because I don't like to jump too far 'outside game' since I think it ruins it for some people, but I can't help thinking like this, I'm afraid...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The book doesn't really exist - it's quite clear from the light box bit that every left page is identical, and every right page is identical - they scanned an open, blank book once and then superimposed the words on using a photo program or something

Edit - Oh, and he's going to be putting more items up for sale shortly, apparently! Do you think that's likely to include, say, a mirror?
