Can anyone make anything of the "smudges" on the footer titles? It looks to me like they cover "J,T,N,I", but they might not be related to individual letters at all. We had one clue already that came from following smudges in text.

nice idea, I think too they are probably clues. this makes me remember one thing I thought about but lead me to nothing (as usual Sad): in the photo of the drawing showing the way to the rabbit hole on ray and lynn's blog (http://houseinengland.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/img_0538.jpg) letters COM in JACOMO are clearly underlined. that made me think of an url, so I tried ja.com/o, but nothing...

news from jaques

just received this email from jaques de la coeur:
Quote:
For your information, I shall be selling some items that may be of interest to you this week. I am, forgive me, distraught. My darling Bella has left me and because she is inscrutable demands that I present her with gifts that show my love. She specifies: poetry, sketches, flowers, cakes and so on. Romantic gestures; I am at a loss.

However, if you can help me, I will have something of interest for you. I will conduct in-person transactions on Thursday evening (Thursday 10th April) between 5.30pm and 6pm in the Jerusalem Tavern, 55 Britton Street, Clerkenwell, London, EC1M 5UQ.

Please pass this information on to anyone who may be able to help me. I promise that you will not go unrewarded.

I present to you my most pleasant greetings,
Jacques de la Coeur

anyone may attend?

Wink

Duh! Just realised what Jacks email means! He's going to break into the shop to get more stuff!

Anyone need to buy a new mirror? Anyone?

Just caught up on this week's story so far... good start, looking forward to tomorrows!

Shame that Jacques meeting on Thursday means I won't be home in time for Thursday's installment but at least it's after work!

Yes but you'll be playing with and meeting characters BG so I wouldn't worry (much more exciting); you can catch up later on, with the storyline.

I got the mail to - and a mention (I'm Rachel). So I was right in the story chat - we we watching the story and Alice was shouting at Jacques!

batgirl - you can do what I intend to do, which is find a Starbucks or pub with wifi and join in from there. That's where I was tonight.

I'll also grab some video - and I may even try Qik which means those not in London may be able to watch live and ask questions? I say may, as there can be considerable delays depending on the mobile network. Anyone want to watch?

So, do we tell Alice? I think we do but suggest going through with it to see what he has - he may not be planning to steal more, but this could be what he already has. It's a chance to help Alice without an upfront confrontation (or could that the the plan for a fun 30mins?)

So, 3 days to get something or make something that Jacques will swap for a trinket. For Belle, who is looking like someone we need to examine and work out who she is and why she is there.

Maybe someone in London should buy that ring from Argos and take it to Jacques?

(Also, ARG, Argos, ha.)
