Do you think Alice is asking for someone to stay with her overnight (or is that taking a live event too far??????)

So, do we tell Alice? I think we do but suggest going through with it to see what he has - he may not be planning to steal more, but this could be what he already has. It's a chance to help Alice without an upfront confrontation (or could that the the plan for a fun 30mins?)

I've told Alice about the email from Jacques, I've asked her if she gives her blessing for us to have a meeting and that I will try and recover any items which have been stolen to return them to her.

So, 3 days to get something or make something that Jacques will swap for a trinket. For Belle, who is looking like someone we need to examine and work out who she is and why she is there.

Maybe we can try and write some group effort poetry??

LOl..I just sent her a similar email but also suggested that I'm not sure we have the full story on Jacques, as Belle seems to be pulling strings.

In wrote Alice, said nothing about Jacques but suggested that - if she'd like it - I have some friends in London who love books and would enjoy it to spend the night in the library.

that would be totally amazing!!
But I think Bella is not just looking for romance:
Quote:
"Bella is… and Marsh-Ayre, 'e never noticed zat…."

so, something's up with her, which should have involved Marsh-Ayre.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I stole you some things,
What else can I do?

Bella?

[spec]
I don't think this has been mentioned, but could Bella be another incarnation of Claribella-Pussywillow, Ray and Lyyn's cat which they had to leave behind?

I used to write poetry, I will look back through them & see if any are suitable. I could provide some arty stuff too, though I would need to post that to someone.

Claribella pussywillow eh? Interesting call. Would that make her our Cheshire cat?

Recap
Those pesky cards!

thirdpinion wrote:
Sorry for the delay, here is the Wonderland card list that I have so far! Smile
NOTE: I am also highlighting the cards that represent celestial bodies, ref my earlier post re the mirror.
0 Fool = Mad Hatter ( also number 22 as Major arcana is a circle of life)
I Magician = Lewis Caroll
II High Priestess = Alice = moon
III Empress = The sheep in the boat = venus
IV Emperor = Cheshire Cat
V Hierophant = Catterpiller ( hookah & all!)
VIThe lovers = Tweedledum & Tweedledee
VII Chariot = Alice on the train
VIII Strength = Lion & Unicorn
VIIII Hermit = Dormouse asleep in teapot
X Wheel of Fortune = The Dodo et al = Jupiter
XI Justice = ?
XII The Hanged man = ?
XIII Death = Queen of Hearts (lol "Off with her head!")
XIV Temperance = March Hare
XV The Devil = Jaberwock
XVI The Tower = Bill falling from Chimney = Mars
XVII The Star = ?
XVIII The Moon = Walrus & Carpenter
XIX The Sun = Humpty on the wall = Sun
XX Judgement = White Rabbit as herald of court
XXI The World = Alice in the green fields that look like chess board = saturn ( not seen but found description)

I hope this is actually useful, not just one of those little jaunts you go off on from time to time!
x

Just thought I would pop these up again, as we are seemingly finding more characters. And remember Cabbages theory that Maltravers could be a contender for the Devil.

A Gift for Jaques

Here is a poem I wrote that I think may be suitable. It's over on my blog:

http://veebscraft.blogspot.com/2008/04/poetry-for-change.html

let me know if you think it will do! I will go through my book and see if I have any more that might work. Let's take him to the cleaners!! ( in the nicest possible way, of course!)

That's a really good poem veebee! That would be perfect to take to Jacques Smile

Are you going to be there in person as well?

live event

I live in Devon, so it's a bit tricky! If it had been during the day, I would have considered it, crazily enough! But it would take me nearly 3 hours to get home, that would be plain dumb!!! It is a shame though, I would really love to get more involved. Bristol would have been easier Sad

you guys that can get there, have fun, do us proud! And don't forget to ask about the Doctor, and who he sold the book to!!
xx

Background image

The background image on week 4 is in

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
North London, just east of Regents Park

and here is a linky:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&ll=51.540073,-0.14948&spn=0.001245,0.003691&t=h&z=19

I'm fairly sure that the picture has been ripped straight from here and then given artificial perspective using some photo program: the boats are the same on the canal, and the shadows are identical on the roof.

Also the image copyright gave me a slight clue... ;)
