Go for it.

I arrive at King's Cross at 4:46pm so I'll walk down and should get to Smith's for just after 5. I'll be wearing a suit.

So the story's quite good, probably the best yet, although other than the live writing, the end result is quite typical storyness..

Anyone spotted any cloos yet? I've got nada

I've been thinking about that too, and I can't think of anything that's been a clue at all either....

I can't check now as I'm baking still but has anyone checked maybe the first letter of each paragraph for a website or something?

Snippets of info:

In the original story Therese Raquin, some of the protagonists were coworkers in railway offices (the Orleans Railroad Company). This might to some extent explain the background picture.

Stephanie - feminine equivalent to Stephen - etymology = "crown" - if we are searching for tarot card / Wonderland identities - Stephanie = Queen? As I noted in the chat room, Tweedledum and Tweedledee are perhaps somewhat aptly portrayed as the Lovers...

Wikipedia has a concise summary of the original story - it's quite different to the way the characters are ranged in Your Place Or Mine, though the themes seem very similar if you look at the temperament of the characters. Don't read the synopsis if you don't want to spoil the ending of the original story or potentially the denouement of the new story.

Yay winged one! I wondered who would be the first to capitulate to temptation Laughing

Hope the muffins have come out OK (which flavour? Blueberry for romance?) - good luck one and all tomorrow!

On a different topic, there are lots of music-related links so far: probably just easy fillers for the writers, but maybe not?

Alice's latest

So now we know there's a "D", as if we all weren't looking for D. Mouse all along. Doris? Dorothy?

And did the others follow Hattie?

I'm looking forward to hearing about the live meet-up tomorrow. Kind of hard playing along from Houston, but fun anyway (and Google maps helps).

The guy in Argos thought I was a bit strange when I said that any size would do Smile

I made blueberry and raspberry so I packed some of each in the pretty box lined with hearts paper to give to Jacques Smile The rest will be eaten by my office and my boyfriend (and me of course!)

Have fun at the meet tonight guys. Keep an eye out for any large rabbit like critters running around...

Here's a practice session for you to keep your eyes peeled: http://www.dothetest.co.uk/

I was trying to work out whether D and Dr... and the Doctor might all be the same person, when I came across another one of those internet coincidences: Dr Mowse and Mr Hare.

Also, I wondered whether Mr Marsh-Ayre's mention of Samedi might be an allusion to Baron Samedi?

Good luck tonight all who are going - I'm as geographically challenged as veebee unfortunately!

By the way, it's not "Smiths of Smithville", but "Smiths of Smith*field*", as it is adjacent to the famous meat market of that name.

Tempted, certainly ...

I do feel that we are missing something from the week 4 story - perhaps some hidden text or regular letters that spell something.

The first day is in eight segments of five minutes, from 6.40 to 7.15, the second is in ten from 6.30 to 7.15 and the third is in eleven from 6.30 to 7.20.

The Doormouse in Alice told a story about the girls in the Treacle Well who drew pictures of things beginning with an M.

Not sure if this may lead to something. Checked back through this weeks stories only thing that stood out was that Laurence took Terry to the 'Mayflower' on day 2.

As far as I know there isn't any 'Mayflower' pubs around Camden (where the background picture was taken) but there is one in Rotherhithe and a collection of Mayflower Hotels around London.

Could be nothing but just getting it out there.

Slice's blog... again

Someone has now removed the photos that went with the final (deleted) bit, even though they weren't being linked from anywhere on the blog. There's something very strange about all that.
