Re: Cheating

Perhaps we have to furnish him with a copy of the card he needs (somehow), - maybe via Alice and the mirror - to stick up his sleeve?

Could Tweedle Dee = John Dee? (is this what you were saying, wukka?)
Who could Tweedle Dum be?

Puzzle

I think I partly solved the bunny puzzle:

I'll put in different levels of spoilers again

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The boxes are just the titles of this week's chapters. So the first one is "live online', the second is " Physical things don't matter", etc.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We then just have to match the different boxes and figure out the code:

the black boxes (16 in total) are the letters: oncta rriww iseik i
the boxes with circles (5 in total) are: paess
the box with the circle and dot: c
the boxes with start (3 in total) are: cmo

I think the last three should be "com" so I'm assuming everthing is jumbled up.

Maybe I'm just being dumb, but I can't match up what you're saying with the spaces... though I love the theory

You shouldn't read it in the usual left to right order.

The first set is 4 boxes, with right under it 6 boxes. Those together are "live online".

Then you have a set of 4 lines: with 8 boxes, 6 boxes, 5 boxes, 6 boxes. That's "physical things don't matter"

Then a set of 4,4,4,5: "lawa don't make sense".

You have to see it as the actual pages of the book in a grid together.

Update: whohoo! you got the new website!

Whatever story we tell him, we shouldn't use the actual name of the cards. But what story do we tell?
Sad

I've emailed Alice asking if Dorcas can help.

I did too! I also asked her for a re-cap on the story she was writing, in case anything from MA has got through that way.

Hard Times

This week's story's up - and it gives us more from MA!

Hint 1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Follow the rabbit.

Hint 2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's not directly in the text/images for this story.

Hint 3:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Do you dig the design?

EDIT: Doh! Thanks for the heads up veebee (next message). Serves me right for going away for a long weekend and not catching up properly before posting. (Now where's the really embarrassed emoticon gone?) Sorry all!

erm, Woda, you may want to check back a few posts.....
Smile

Thanks for the pointers though!!
xx

Just had a bit of an OMG moment! Remember what MA said, sometime you can't see the forest for the trees?

6 STORIES, 6 CARDS......The stories themselves represent the cards! That's how we can work out the card he needs, because we know what the next story is based on, AND we know which stories have gone before. Now we just need to work out which card each story represents.

I'm in the middle of something, I'll come back to this later!

Contrariwise

means "In the opposite way or reverse order" - surely this is a clue?

And Marsh-Ayre says:
Quote:

I can only presume that "the Doctor's game" doesn't exhaust all the possibilities of the mirror world, or that there's something important I've missed.

Maybe he didn't take into account that things are back-to-front in mirror world, that's why he took the wrong cards. I know there's already been some speculation about reversing the card scores.

Not quite sure where to go with this though...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

ONCTARRIWW IS EIKIPAE CSS COM

Not sure what to do next

EDIT: Okay. read some of the previous spoilers posted & got the web address.
Presuming this message system happens every day this week? 'Cose that would be fun (much better than last weeks story! No waiting until the last day!)

I really like that idea, it feels much more robust than some of the guess work tha's been going on...I'm still clueless though.

Ambien - seems very likely too, esp with the other reverals, like Alice's watch
