Yeah, that's where I heard about the stories first, this morning...and then posted quite breathlessly about finding the ARG. Better late than never Smile

Well I wasn't go to post any story, but then I read the fabulous efforts there, so I got pulled in like a creative to a mirror.

I went with a poem though, dunno why, it just came out that way. I liked the start, but I think it gets a bit pants towards the end, still I got my bad pun in. It's probably way more obvious than the rest though.

HIJACK!

My fundraising site for the London to Brighton Bike Ride is now up at www.justgiving.com/chrishemmens and everyone should donate at least £2 each.

OK! Carry on!

Well done everyone!

I have to say, a big pat on the back for everyone who has submitted a story - it's not an easy task to come up with a short story on demand with a pre-specified theme and yet we've delivered in spades in such a short time - what a great community Smile

Duh!

I just got the white knight story!

I think perhaps all the writers might write a post that explains all the symbolism that they've put in their stories - I don't want to miss any by being slow - I don't know which are 'just' good stories, and which have a hidden meaning that I'm completely missing!

We could spoiler it so that people can try and work it out for themselves first?

I don't think getting from 'the lucky unicycle' to 'the wheel of fortune' requires any great leap of insight!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The white knight is good, feels very much like the real Alice in Wonderland.

I also like the unicycle, especially the man in the shop having 9 unicycles already, and yours being the tenth. Nice allusion to the number of points the card is worth.

I like the method of death in 'a song to die for', a chandelier is nicely circular and wheel like.

'A traveller wins' is cool, poems a good idea, everything seems more significant in a poem Smile , same for carousel.

Oh also I was just nosing around the contrariwise wiki looking at MA's edit history, he's been active since april 14th and he's done 3 edits...but contrariwise only shows 2 edits by him. Has he edited another wiki that we haven't found yet?

The first edit is to the main page, when he wrote the bulk of the text. Next one is when he added "Write your story here" the third one is when he edited the page where we are writing.
I think.....!

"Hasid and the extraordinary multi-tonal somnambulation jacket" is up.

EDIT: I said it would be bizarre and I don't think I've let anyone down there. Smile

I have finally finished my story, and posted the last two chapters. If he doesn't get the card from all of our clues, he must be mad as a march hare.

Oh...

Anybody got any theories on why he needs that card anyway? Maybe it's just because Doom wants it, in Alice's blog she says "Dorcas says it's very serious now. That Doom has almost all the cards he needs. That Thomas must get the Wheel of Fortune card next or it's all over." but that doesn't seem a very satisfying explanation, because although it stops the Dr, it doesn't help Thomas much. And he still hasn't found Hattie...
