 stories

I'm enjoying catching up with all the great stories. I wish I had time to actually sit down and write, but so busy at the moment! I havn't "got" The White Horse" yet, I'm still trying, though i could end up reading/looking at it over & over rather than doing anything else all night.

loved the Hemmingway 6 word one, again with the sixes, also reminded me of :

Thanks! I re-read it today and was happier with it than I thought I would be. I'm tempted to go in and play with it a bit to balance the sylable count on some of the later verses, but I'm trying to resist.

My good sir, I do believe you've just won at everything forever.

damn it, I got sucked into job as into a black mirror (just not as fun) and so much happened!
I'd just like to thank you all for your amazing contributions: I couldn't have gone a single step further into the game without you!
now I'm going to catch up with all the stories you've written.... and look forward for the sixth one!

bye!

One more tale added to Contrariwise!

I have just posted my simple effort, "The secret citizens!"

I have only just got up to speed with all the fun you folks have been having recently!

Well done, everyone who's been posting on here. It seems like it's been a successful diversion!

Let's hope story six isn't an anti-climax!

Hahaha, I really like 'the secret citizens'. Simple, funny, and just right for alerting MA to his next card.

Missing something?

Have we been missing something?

Quote:
Dorcas says the only solution is for Thomas to cheat at cards. And for that we need your help.

Quote:
She quickly outlined her thoughts. According to her, there are three basic ways to cheat at the game of Dee's tarot.

1) Claim to have declared a different path than the one you really did. The game tends to go on for so long that nobody remembers anyway.
2) Sneak an extra card or two up your sleeve. This is tricky, but Dorcas thinks we might manage to "pass" a card through the mirror to Thomas. We're going to work on it.
3) Take a crafty peek at the other players' cards. Perhaps by the use of a well-placed mirror.

I have posted a poem at contrariwise to let Thomas know what cards Dr Doom has in his hand.

I've posted another story hinting to dooms cards as well. Also I'm afraid you missed our the card Alice saw Doom in the process of procuring, The Chariot.

Well I've emailed Alice about that one a couple of days ago, asking if she saw the one that came out of the horse's mouth, but haven't had a reply yet.

I like your story, btw!

Thanks!

Hmmm I'd just assumed with the whole setting and everything it had to be The Chariot, but I suppose it could be Strength (doom unleashing his 'beast within' on the horses)...or something totally wierd like the Tower to symbolise a change...actually if you interpret all the cards broadly enough it could be pretty much anything.

<meta> I'm just hoping they're not quite that cruel as to give us such an obvious chariot when it's something else :p </meta>

And will they make an appearance tomorrow:?:
