On went to Youtube to look for updates - Noriko posted a new video in the last hour or two. I no longer know enough Japanese to translate it, but she shows the word "sophia" in romaji (Roman characters) drawn out on the ground.

OOG, I've spent enough time with native Japanese speakers, in Japan and the U.S., to recognize from the few English phrases that she drops, that her English is very good. Just, her intonation and pronunciation are much better than the average Japanese person (English is part of the standard high school curriculum). So hopefully, when this all wraps up, we will have characters that more of us will be able to converse with, even if their native language is not our own.

Diego has posted a new YouTube Video as well.

He juggles! And he has put numbers on the ground 1-5 and shows a pattern of a circle, then shows a pattern of a star with the numbers. So I believe that he had a dream or a vision, similar to Markus, that involved a Pentacle. (Or maybe it's a "Pentagram". I've never quite figured out how to tell the difference...)

Then he writes mythopoeia696 on the ground in chalk.

I don't know what he's saying. Sad

Here's a link to the video

I can actually be helpful! [Insert happy dance here!]

The difference between a pentagram and a pentacle is that a pentagram is a shape. A pentacle is an object that is in the shape of a pentagram.

So if you draw one on a piece of paper, that's a pentagram. If you wear a piece of jewelry that has a silver circle with a star in the center, that's a pentacle.
Very Happy

ARG (pun intended), Diego's spanish is so fast >_<

Anyway, what he is basically saying is that he's practicing juggling tricks (malabares) and that he also does exercises. He says that Ariadne told him that these exercises are a way to activate their memories and so, he is doing this agility exercise which he tells us about in the video. It is basically what HitsHerMark has just said. The exercise consist of going from digit to digit while creating patterns, for example a star. I'm not sure of the final part, but I think that he is saying that after doing the exercises, he has the word mythopoeia696 in his head.
So that's basically it. This is a very rough outline of what he is saying.

First thumos696 and now mythopoeia696? i see a pattern

Edit: at the end of kai's new video, he says he'll help in any way, if he can buy it! Well I guess we could get all the 6 amnesiacs together to meet or we could BUY Eli's cooperation! What do you say!

It seems they are the agonothetai after all. So far we have

Markus - Thumos696
Noriko - Sophia696
Diego - Mythopoeia696

Waiting to assign

chanilon696
dikaiosune696
sophrosune696

Spec: I wonder if this is the 696th Olympics since the agonothetai began (or disappeared)

Diego`s new video

OK, basically he says that since ariadne told everybody they should do some excercises so as to start remebering things.
Diego has been doing agility excercises making some paterns between the numbers he wrote down in the floor, making some paterns like a star.
the star goes from 1 to 3 then to 5 ten to 2 and finishes with the 4.
he says that since he practices he feels every day better, more confident.
While practicing he remembered the word Mythopoeia696( the most important thing of the video actually).

So I had a thought about the idea that hunt knows something. Or Kai, for that matter. Somebody should send one or both of them an e-mail, asking innocuous-but-relevant questions, in Esperanto. I think whoever is behind it all speaks the language, and the ability to respond (or lack thereof) is informative.

Any of our Esperantists want to give it a go? I'd try it myself, but on the off chance they're both involved then Hunt - who I've already contacted in English - could plausibly tip off Kai to the nature of my questions and vice versa. (I'm assuming our PMs will play the two realistically like that.)

Actually, what is written on the ground is sophrosune696, also known as "temperance."

So far it looks like
Diego = storytelling (mythopoeia696)
Noriko = temperance (sophrosune696)
Markus = courage (thumos696)
Mei Hui = wisdom (sofia696)

EDIT: a video from Mei Hui! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYbdl-MCZSs

The first Olympics were in 776 BC. 696 * 4 = 2784. Put it together? the year, 2008.

Yeah, I tried to translate Diego too... his spanish outsped me Sad

Quick question: How long does it take people to learn Esparanto (at least a falting grasp)? I was about to start learning, but didn't want to find myself in a pit deeper than I thought.

Nice! So we can assume that Renata, from 2004, was something like sofia695??
