Lo and Behold, I too have received a package Smile

Box: "This is a clew! 03-03-08"
Poster: Same, same writing
Postcards: RAAIM056, XAAI0032, RAAIM057 - same dates on back
Yarn: Yellow, White, Blue, and Green

There doesn't appear to be a yarn message... where is it usually located?

Pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/banshee1013/sets/72157604017339396/

ETA: Finally found the "Fortune" - "You will soon discover an alternate reality" and on the back "You will soon make many friends in far away places"
Hi friends!! Very Happy

I had to really dig through my yarn to find it. It's the size of a fortune from a cookie, and it was folded in half.

The funny thing is that my daughter needs a skein of yarn for school on Monday and I did NOT want to go to Michael's to get one... and whaddaya know, one was delivered to my doorstep. Now THAT is service, my dear PMs. Laughing

hmm... yeah I'm beginning to think
* recipients aren't significant
* locations aren't significant
* who receives what is insignificant
* Not sure if anything about the pictures is significant other than maybe whether they're 1st, 2nd or 3rd chronologically (or the locations they are pictures of).
* Yarn colours might be important
* fortune messages are intriguing, but some have been duplicated, so probably unimportant who got what (if the messages themselves are even important)
* only 2 zip codes I believe have been reported, so it's likely that's unimportant
* pretty certain the outside writing is unimportant
* the poster appears to be the same for everyone

Krystyn - did you really get two knitting needles? Or are you just being jokish? (hey, you never know Wink)

NEW SITE?

So yay, I got my package too! Jetpack

I must've been bad or something though, as I didn't get neat-o yarn, just some scratchy, yucky string.

But hey, a new site! Smile

Exact same pics as Hmrpita & ouroborus.

Back of my note has You will soon write an amazing story.

Think my yarn is the same color as Hmrpita's too

Got a box in San Francisco

Here's a video tour of what was in my box -- mostly the same as the rest, it appears.

I've also posted scans of the postcards, etc.

Now, the REALLY fun thing is that I went to Olympic Way in San Francisco this afternoon. Video coming in a bit. Smile

Yeah, so I'm not sure ilikestring.com is related. It seems like it should be, but after looking at the site for a while I would be surprised if it is IG. It's just a woman blogging on her life, which happens to include a lot of knitting, and guinea pigs.

I have looked at all the pictures that i have saved so far and maybe we should just focus on the the 1920 olympic poster, the pieces of papers with the fortunes written on them, and the old black and white pictures. cause to me the rest has no purpose right now.

Have any of the recipients tried the blacklight thing or holding the olympic poster up to the light and looking (from the back) for any evidence of paint, marker, etc. on their fronts?
