I've been reading the thread and just wanted to briefly add that Mei Hui's Mandarin seems to be very much English-influenced. Her spoken Mandarin is pretty good though on the videos.

And on her blog she uses two different characters for the word "Hui" which mean different things - 惠 and 慧 - it's different on her photo and her posts - might be just a blog designer slip-up. But I think she's bilingual as well, especially on her diary.

She also sometimes uses 著 in place of 着

Awesome. They're all up. I'll keep my eye on Ariadne and Diego, mostly because I want to challenge my Spanish skills.

Are they doing that on purpose? Are we supposed to hack that and gain access?

No.
If we do have to guess a login/password the PMs will make it obvious that we are supposed to do so. This feels like a genuine technical glitch.

Larissa's page translations

I'm keeping my eye mainly on Larissa's page, but also on Diego's. Here's the translation of her page:

Quote:
FROM THE TOP:

Big letters: Let's help them find the lost ring (ring as in jewelry ring, not group of people)

Next: they don't know who they are, nor what happened to them. But I have a clue. It's not the first time I see someone with these tattoos.

The pictures of the 6.

Then: My name is Larissa. Four years ago, I met a girl like Ariadne. She woke up in a labyrinth in Gonçalves and she didn't know who she was. She lived with my family for 3 months. We tried to help her but she dissappeeasd. We never saw her again.

Picture: Tattoo of Renata 08.07.07

Under the picture: Renata and I had a lot in commom. we both liked the nature and exploring Sao Paulo. Two opposites!!! She was very optimistic, fun and "very down to earth", and she also had a tattoo just like Ariadne's that said ""Trovu la ringon perditan,&rdqu...

Tags: tattoo, la, ringon, perditan, ariadne, intrigued, past

Next, video title: Ariadne, I can help you 08.30.06

Under the video: I've seen this before.

Then: Renata's Necklace 08.27.06

Text under picture: One day Renata begged for us to go travel. We packed a bag (backpack) and took a bus to Goiás Velho. It was one of the best trips I've done. I laughed all the time with her "bobeiras" (I'm not quite sure about a word to translate this, basically it means Renata was saying silly sings for them to laugh). We had to run after the bus because she liked exploring the vegetation around every stop.
Renata would woke up early and go "hiking" every m...

Nothing much new really.

Oh and I don't know if it was already pointed or not but in Diego's page there's a picture of the blindfold.

I've got a new mail from Markus. He told me before, that he gets mysterious mails and I asked him, to send them to us, so we can look thorugh them for clues. And I explained geocaching to him. Here his answer:

Quote:

Hey XXXXX,

Alles Gute,
Markus

Here my translation:

Quote:

Hi XXXX,

nothing
Hey Christine,

nothing extra noticeable, only someone living near York wanted to visit me.

I got lots of mails at the moment, so I hope you can forward my mails to your friends, so that maybe they find anything the two of us haven't found.

I heard from Ariadne, that we all get diaries on findthelostring.com. Our "blogs" (as she called it) aren't published yet, but I started writing some entries. UNfortunatelly I don't know, when they will be published - I wrote Ariadne, but she was already on her way to Cardiff. I told her not to go, but nevertheless she did it.

Geocaching sounds interesting - I am interested in it, but at the moment I want to concentrate on Eli's video. The blindfolds look similar to the one I had on my eyes, when I woke up. I will take a picture of me and the blindfold and put it on Flickr - I wanted this to be done a few days ago, but hadn't the time for it.

I still am in contact with the others via mail - it is difficult because of the language differences but we all know a few english words even though it is nearly impossible to understand much of it. The only on with a perfect English is Ariadne, but she doesn't speak any other language, so this is not much help.

All the best, Markus

Sorry, I got this mail yesterday evening, but wasn't at home. I have seen, that the blogs are already online, and the picture of the blindfold as well. By the way, do we have any ideas why Ariadne is the only one who woke up with goggles to blind her, while the other blindfolds are made of cloth?

Hopefully Markus gets an email with new clues, which he will send me then.

Sorry, if there are any mistakes in my translation, just tell me and I will edit it.

Um, so I found this through the Terms and Conditions on Larissa's new page:

http://www.thelostring.com/index.html

Just a couple of days, this was a dead link. Not anymore...

From that video, I'm basically pulling out "Look to Delphi to receive D" mainly from a frame at 1:04 and 0:07. Also repetitions of "You are ready"
or "When you are ready"

Delphi leads to these two things of interest:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythian_Games

There's also a bit with Eli Hunt and a presentation in front of a select few people. Several words appear on the presentation that look like they could be easily unblurred and read correctly.

Ahahah!

Middle top is "ouroboros" unless I'm very much mistaken! Well, that word in Greek letters anyway.

I have 134 Hi Rez Screen Caps of the trailer here. They're currently uploading right now.

I think I managed to catch all the stuff that flashed by, but I'll do another pass after work tonight.
