quoting myself, adding to theory. This is why the man is running with his arms over his chest - To avoid them getting chopped off! Shocked He has to run dead centre down the path.

To do this, one must have a pretty good *memory* about the maze. Perhaps this is why the ringus have their memory wiped, so they all start from the same point to relearn the way?

The star also looks like the center of the labyrinth at Chartres.

Freaky ARG moment: While in IRC, we were talking about the Chartres Labyrinth, and I had just an inkling that the shape looked familiar to me, but I couldn't quite place it.

Then I finally looked beside on me on the couch. I have this red circular pillow from Ikea. You'll never guess what motif it features ...

The other side (of which I haven't found a nice image) features an embroidered version of just the six part center.

Eli Hunt... an anagram?

I'm new here, and FtLR is my first ARG. I have been keeping up on this thread though and just registered to post.

Do you guys think it could be significant that Eli Hunt is an anagram for "In Thule", Thule being the Greek name for a island in the north? (In medieval times, it was used to refer to Greenland/Iceland).

It could just be a reference to Hunt living in England, an island north of Greece. Or the anagram could be insignificant.

Which sounds are you referring to? I watched the video again and couldn't see (or hear, rather) what you were talking about. And I assume by *memory* about the maze you mean muscle memory, because how can you run dead center in a maze you don't remember?

I do however, agree with the theory that the amnesia is part of the game. In fact, I would venture to guess that the amnesiacs are playing the lost game right now. Maybe to win they have to find the lost ring?

Since we've got our own forum now, maybe we could seperate communications with people into individual threads? As in one thread for each of the people we've been swapping e-mails with. There's a lot of information there and it's hard to keep track of it all and to find old information when it's all in one mega-thread.

I'd like to second this idea, and add a more specific request:

Rather than starting a new "Diego" thread (for example) for each new email, how about just a general "[COMMUNICATION]Diego" thread where all contacts (email, IM, etc.) could be collected... and the same for all the others.

Oops, guys, I just made a new thread about a pretty important email I got from Diego, in which he tells about another girl (Monica) who wrote him and said she'd heard their story before. It even as pics and coordinates. I opened a new thread because this seems important (with a new character and all) should I post that here also?

Actually, I think the guy running with his hands over his chest is doing so so that he's using muscle memory rather than use the wall of the maze as a guide. Since this is apparently an ancient game, your interpretation could be valid as well for the original game, chippy!

[NEW INFO] email from Diego

Diego has sent an email, he dont reply any previous email sent by me, but now i received this one:

"Amigos, recibí este e-mail de esta chica española, dice que su tío
abuelo le contaba una historia parecida a lo que nos está pasando a
nosotros (tatuaje, amnesia, laberinto)!!

misteriosas. Pero de alguna manera me daba la sensación de que era
cierto). ¿No es sorprendente que ahora te haya pasado a tí lo mismo?
No podía creerlo cuando he visto tu perfil y tus fotos.

They run modern Delphic Games, which are mainly concerned with competitions of Arts, Drama, Culture.

So, as obvious as this is, the picture is definitely similar to the modern Olympic rings, only there's six of them...

Anyways, I'm not sure about the running of the gauntlet idea... there's a point at 32 seconds into the movie where our mysterious labyrinth running is shown from overhead, and it doesn't show any evidence of people in the corn on either side of him. I'd think, that if we were to believe that the game was like running the gauntlet, they would show something to indicate that this was the case?

And. I don't think this has been mentioned yet (hopefully I'm not trouting!!) but there's a place called Delphi Falls in New York state. Maybe it something worth looking into?

Okay, so between Larissa & Monica, we have confirmation that this "thing" has been happening for a long time. Now if we could hear back from Ariande & find out exactly what this "thing" is all about - that would help! March 11 - find the secret Smile 2 more days

well, it is speculation, however, the evidence (of the ancient game) is the sound of what sounds to me like steel weapons being used. Maybe our games will be less painful, but equally as skillful? Smile

OK, Monica's video is full of clues... I'll try to make a summary. Later I'll see if I can make a transcription.

Monica tells the story of "El hombre del laberinto" ("The man from the labyrinth"), she tells us that a man was found in 1868 in Stuarthill (I'm not sure of this name), Scotland, in the same manner that our amnesiacs. This man spoke spanish and not english, and had a remarkable tattoo (she shows the tattoo, we should look into that, it's a labyrinth like the one that Diego draws, under it there is a greek word I couldn't make, and then a couple of numbers, 595 and 20), the people from the town helped him to get to Spain, and there he meets her uncle. After a few months, this man leaves her family and goes to London.

Her uncle knows nothing of him until 15 years later, he comes with five other people and tell him that they are working on something called "El codex del anillo perdido" ("The codex of the lost ring"). They give Monica's uncle a piece of this work to hide, part of this is the postcard, and there is more, hidden somewhere.

noob

ok, im pretty new at this but my guess, which probably isnt right, would b that the blindfolded athletes arnt supposed to find their way out of the labyrinth but to the center of it, where the missing ring is located. its just a guess that came to me in a dream last night.

Quoted from danteIL from the other thread:

So I guess one of the former sets of "six" were from
MADRID
LONDON
COPENHAGEN
BOSTON
TORONTO
RIO DE JANIERO

I can't understand the youtube video. Does Monica say when this postcard is from?

Finally, also written on the postcard is "El Multiverso" -- The Multiverse??

These locations are based on the coordinates on the postcard. So that's where we can find more pieces of the codex? But where?

Watch her lips as she says the name (around 0m37s into the film) -- I'm pretty sure she says "Stuartville", which is a tiny place up between Peterhead and Inverness, in Scotland.
