Yea, I'm sure it was sent out to all of us on the list. The Donut Donor thing does seem really out of place, like it's either a part of the game or a really *sigh* REALLY bad joke. Maybe a hint that about cops working for Dent?

Hahaha, I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who remembers that line

haha... I'm glad you appreciate it, Thunderclap. Looks like we're the foggies here.
I agree with many of the comments here already, that the donut thing is highly suspicious. Politicians would not notify the public in a front page announcement about a donut sponsor...In reality, their sponsorship assistant would contact individual donut shops and ask for sponsorship...
Looking at how recently the last task was ( April 1st with the bowling balls), it seems unlikely that the next task will be something happening this Sunday in donut shops around the world... or is it?
What else could it be... a new site?? I've searched gothamcitydonuts, gcdonuts, gcd, gothamdonuts etc., and come up with nothing.
Am I reading too much into it?

I tried those with the proper spelling, doughnuts, and still nothing.
I think, if there is going to be a doughnut site, it'll be harder to guess than those. Betty's House of Pies doesn't have Gotham in it's name, but always makes me think of the cake hunt.

if it's going to be that hard to find then why bother searching for it? maybe they'll all announce it in a couple of days or something...

it doesn't quite work that way.... in the past, with this ARG, users have had to find everything. and it certainly has not been easy, in anway. I'm in extreme admiration for the people who cracked it.
Part of the process is sharing what you've gotten stuck, so that other people, who may have more skills and ideas, can continue on.
If we don't get the clues right away, then they'll drop hints for us in one way or another ( aka banner on maidenavenuereport)

That's not entirely true. We've been given plenty of stuff (The IBIHDT Joker cards in SoCal and they showed the WhySoSerious dollar bills on G4 while covering Comicon live, for example), but we've had to look for the really good stuff.

IBIHD has been updated with an announcement about the conference today. There's also a live feed connected. All you can hear at the moment is static noises.

Summary of Live "conference":
Notaro is now regretting his previous contacts.. his partner's car was car-bombed, and he's demanding protection for his family.
He's taken an female hostage inside a coffee shop.
We're listening to police radio; they're discussing who has an angle to take him down, what they should do etc.
Dent walks in, negotiates a trade and the female hostage walks out. Eventually, both Dent and Notaro walk out, where Notaro is apprehended.

Frank Nitarro, a crazed cop that wanted protection for his family, was holding some girl hostage. Harvey Dent went in and talked, and the girl got out, but then there was gunshots? And it went staticy again.
Someone was recording the audio, I think, so stay tuned for a transcript.
