Columns

Sorry, I tried to post a pic but it would not load to photo bucket. But if you can enlarge the pic of the columns and then crop it from both sides and enlarge some more you can see the numbers at the top of the Column right after the word "LAW."

I agree. There is a sort of pattern there, but it doesn't look like numbers to me.

That's not to say there couldn't be some steg data in the picture (they have hidden text in media files before), but I don't see anything just zoomed in and looking at it.

I loaded this file into photoshop and blew it up huge, by around 500x actually, smoothed it out, played around with it....the word law is set off the rest of the image, the text isn't consistent with it, and it is set onto a rectangle. I could nice find anything resembling numbers, but I'm still playing with it to see. There is definitely a different "symbol" on the left side of the column that resembles an eye.

Playing Devil's advocate here, but it would make sense to me if they borrowed the image from somewhere and replaced the last word in the phrase with "law",, that the word would be offset. Likely it's a replacement of "God".

Depends if they have super awesome shoppers working for them - we know most of the photos/images they've used in these offshoot pages so far have been borrowed images (notably, teh waynecottonrolls.net header image is a combination of two images, as you can see right through the camper windows and .. uh.. it doesn't match the outside XD)

edit: ok, so apparently equal justice under law is ac ommon thign to have inscribed on law buildings. Still, depends ont eh photoshoppe,r I say

Negative on that steg, I checked up to 2.0 sensitivity and got nothing.

I was curious about that...wondered if it was a play on words. Law looked as if it was an added piece on its own and the quote said there was ..."under law". I thought maybe it could be layered with something actually under it.

Just found this http://www.supremecourtus.gov/about/westpediment.pdf
That pic on tht top of the Loomer Ridge website is actually the west pediment of the Supreme Court Building....not sure if that plays any signifigance or not though. And looking at the pic on the above website...that eye shape on the far left would have been added or darkened in by our PM.

Either way this might be interesting:

Quote:
The words "Equal Justice Under Law" apparently paraphrase an earlier expression coined by Chief Justice Melville Fuller. In the case of Caldwell v. Texas in 1891, Fuller wrote about the Fourteenth Amendment as follows:

By the Fourteenth Amendment the powers of the States in dealing with crime within their borders are not limited, but no State can deprive particular persons or classes of persons of equal and impartial justice under the law.

Neither this entire sentence, nor even the last seven words, would have fit on a pediment or architrave of the U.S. Supreme Court building, which explains why the architects would have wanted to shorten them. In the years since Fuller wrote these words, the Supreme Court has decided that the Fourteenth Amendment, and especially its Due Process Clause, do limit the powers of the states in dealing with crime.
