Those equations look an awful lot like the Navier-Stokes equations, as someone previously mentioned a while back. They have to do with the actions of fluid, and in the Millenium prize's context, the action of a fluid in a vacuum. And since the Dali pic below has clocks that seem to be fluidous, I decided to stab out in the dark and try 'flow' as an answer for identity...

I also included the accepted solutions for simplicity and clarity... here was josh's response..

So simplicity and clarity are correct.
And i have no idea what cigar means

Resent my previous attempt through new email and got:
The path is clear, it simplicity revealed.

You will never understand the complexity of the path without the simplicity
of the question.

Simplicity:78
Identity:?
Clarity:A3 B1 C2
Complexity:?

Hints
In order to further understand, you must crawl before you can walk.
In order to understand your identity, you must first understand the question.
Your path is clear. Complexity eludes you, and the others are so near yet so far.
You will never understand the complexity of the path without the simplicity
of the question.
Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

Hands & Feet??? Tried?

And my Q&A has been pending for over 24 hours...

I hope the answer lives up to the anticipation...

The quote is attributedto Freud and basically means that sometimes someth8ing can appear to be what it is, and nothing more.

Maybe we are looking TOO far outside the box?

I sent this:
Quote:
.. Simplicity = 78
... Identity = Navier-Stokes equations
... Clarity = A3 B1 C2
... Complexity = N

.. Simplicity = 78
... Identity = Navier-Stokes equations
... Clarity = A3 B1 C2
... Complexity = Hands & Feet

I just tried:

Simplicity = 78
Identity = Navier-Stokes equations
Clarity = A3 B1 C2
Complexity = 28 palms (Height = 24 palms & Foot = 4 palms)

NICE!!!

wasn't there a hint about not getting the complexity of the solution until you understand the SIMPLICITY of the question.....i reckon that could be it...*crosses fingers*

Complexity

On the picture there are drawings of escher check this page:
http://complexitydesign.wikidot.com/escher-m-c
Escher portrayed complexity, in fractals, that are:
"Fractals can be considered a geometric representation of complexity. A fractal, described by the Mandelbrot who coined the phrase is "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be subdivided into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole."This is known as Self-Similarity, or in other words it has the same complexity at every level to infinity."- from the same page.
complexity=infinity?
I'm not a math- guy, just thinking, and had this in my mind.

From Wikipedia:

* a palm is the width of four fingers
* a foot is the width of four palms (i.e. 12 inches)
* a cubit is the width of six palms
* a man's height is four cubits (and thus 24 palms)
* a pace is four cubits
* the length of a man's outspread arms is equal to his height
* the distance from the hairline to the bottom of the chin is one-tenth of a man's height
* the distance from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin is one-eighth of a man's height
* the maximum width of the shoulders is a quarter of a man's height
* the distance from the elbow to the tip of the hand is one-fifth of a man's height
* the distance from the elbow to the armpit is one-eighth of a man's height
* the length of the hand is one-tenth of a man's height
* the distance from the bottom of the chin to the nose is one-third of the length of the head
* the distance from the hairline to the eyebrows is one-third of the length of the face
* the length of the ear is one-third of the length of the face

Just in case... And no, I haven't gotten one in a bit. My last was the first two we got plus guesses... Just before Syvia solve I think

And that train of thought ends.... maybe the infinity thing?
