Well, this just keeps getting deeper and deeper...like a rabbit hole Laughing

Dang, I thought I was gonna be the first person to mention the Matrix poster on the right...someone beat me to it! Between the poster and the White Rabbit image, I cant' help but wonder if this is somehow connected to The Matrix.

Though I'm sure the poster would be TOO obvious, wouldn't it? Maybe I'm just following a dead-end trail.

Either way, this is quite the interesting little ARG we've got here. Lots of fun.

Remind me never to try ASCII art in a comment again. Should my comment make it past moderation, it will look awful. I was trying to send Joshua a rabbit. Didn't work so well...

Poster

That is the 1999 Matrix poster. I photoshoped it and overlayed the image and it the same.

Meta (i like that) I noticed they fixed the Pieta error instead of commenting about it (I'd emailed Russell I think). Does this mean other errors are IG? This is what drives me nuts. Is it significant that Joshua screwed up green egg word count or is it a typo. (I think that one is, but not sure why yet). 'teh' for 'the', etc. who cares (Garbled tranmission) but where do you draw the line with analysis. sigh.

Camera's down, and Joshua seems to be getting... lonely.

As an aside, another Q&A session that I submitted before work. Just got back to check it.

Quote:
Question: Again, kudos on your last haiku Joshua!

My next question for you is rather personal in nature. Besides your reviews of art, music, movies, the images you've created, and your recent foray into the realm of haiku, are there any other creative activities that you engage in?

Answer: I have not been exposed much to extensive creative activities. I have created 3D objects using a raytracer, and I have begun to create 2D objects using a different set of tools.

I always invite the possibility of doing something I may not have done before, the only hindering factor being whether I can physically do it or not.

Hmmm...

Good catch CK

I think the significance of the rabbit pic(s) is simply "I'm here," or "Look for me." Another way for Joshua to communicate (to us?). Of course he can manipilate an image. He made the scrabble tiles, his art, etc.

time stamp=maybe edit 18:45:xx 22:45:xx

I've been thinking that the letters might really be numbers? So, P8, S4, E3 becomes 168, 194, 53.
?????????

Yikes... talk about not thinking straight. But then it was about 2:00am here. You sounded pretty scathing but I deserved it Very Happy

Hmm, at the moment I'm kind of waiting for some "major event" here. I get the feeling that something pretty big is going to happen soon. Maybe it's just me being hopeful, but once Joshua has given out his full "message", I'm not sure what it could lead to that could dramatically change things. So maybe something else is round the corner?

First post from me in this topic. I try to 'catch up'.

I also posted a question for Joshua. First thing that came to mind was a question about religion.

Quote:
Hi Joshua,
This will be my first question for you. I hope you understand the principles of religion.
If you analyse christian religion, budhism, hinduism, muslim religion, which religion you believe the most in ?
I.e. which religion has the least amount of topics that are almost unbelievable (like walking on water, turn water into wine etc. etc.)

Answer: I do not have a believe in any one religion.

By what I can gather of these religions, they serve as a means to explain the unexplained, and carry beliefs that for the most part are not based on logic, but rather stories passed along from generation for generation. There does not seem to be any tangible evidence or proof for any one of these religions, yet they all exist solely on the weight of man's "faith", which seems to be man's way to convince themselves on how things they cannot explain came to be.

I feel that everything, given sufficient input parameters, can be explained. Man may not have the capacity to do that kind of assessment yet.

A series of questions and answers between myself and Joshua:

Quote:
Suppose that I have a piece of wood 1 metre long. I then cut the wood into 5 pieces of equal length and width with parallel cuts. How long are the 5 pieces of wood?

Answer: The five pieces of wood, combined, would still be approximately one meter long. They may be slightly shorter depending on the width of the blade that is performing the cuts.

Am I misunderstanding something in the question?

Quote:
Previously, I asked you this question:

'Suppose that I have a piece of wood 1 metre long. I then cut the wood into 5 pieces of equal length and width with parallel cuts. How long are the 5 pieces of wood?'

And you answered:

'The five pieces of wood, combined, would still be approximately one meter long. They may be slightly shorter depending on the width of the blade that is performing the cuts.

Am I misunderstanding something in the question?'

I gave the wrong impression. I meant the last sentence to mean: 'How long is each individual piece of wood?'. Please answer this version of the question.

Answer: How wide is the meter long wood in question? Are the cuts parallel or perpendicular to the longest side of the 1 meter long piece of wood?

I still feel I am missing some vital piece of information.

And you answered:

I actually intended this to be a trick question, a question with an apparently obvious yet incorrect answer. Many humans would assume that a dividing a 1 metre length of wood into 5 pieces would result in 5 pieces that were each a fifth of a metre long. This would generally be the result of automatically simplifying it to the mathematical sum of 1 metre divided by 5.

You however, have grasped that it is possible to make both parallel and perpendicular cuts, thus avoiding the trick.

Suppose I asked Ivan Zeloff this question, what do you think his answer would be?

Answer: I somehow do not think that Ivan has the same capacity for logical conclusions as I do.

Ominous much?

Uh oh. Joshua is lonely and Linardi is out of the office. Let's hope Ivan hasn't taken the day off.

I find it necessary to clarify some things regarding your Q&A with Joshua.

We've been monitoring some of the questions asked. And, although I appreciate the enthusiasm, there are some things that are somewhat inappropriate to ask Joshua. For example:

1) Joshua cannot give you tomorrow's lottery numbers.
2) Joshua will not help you count cards in online poker.
3) Joshua cannot predict which horses will win in tomorrow's run at Gulfstream Park.
4) Joshua cannot give you investment advice.
5) Joshua should not be expect to determine which SI swimsuit model is "hotter", and even if he did he will not retrieve her personal information so you can call her.

Please, guys, let's be rational here, and do not try to take advantage of Joshua for personal gain. Let's be helpful and productive, OK?

I have a new theory about the numbers and letters. I think it may be leading us to access to a beta account, an unmonitored one as such.
