Scrabble

Not sure this helps us, and yes it is direct from wiki (also shows that Joshua is still able to talk)

My question:
Hi Joshua, hope today is getting better for you. Can you explain to me how to document a gave of scrabble in text form, so I can recreate a match on the scrabble board from the text ? Thanks.

Answer: I refer to the explanation in Wikipedia:

In the notation system common in tournament play, columns are labeled "A-O" and rows "1-15". A play is usually identified in the format "xy WORD score" or "WORD xy score" (also yx word format), where: x denotes the column or row on which the play's main word extends; y denotes the second coordinate of the main word's first letter, and WORD is the main word. Although unnecessary, additional words formed by the play are occasionally listed after the main word and a slash. In the case where the play of a single tile formed words in each direction, one of the words is arbitrarily chosen to serve as the main word for purposes of notation.

When a blank tile is employed in the main word, the letter it has been chosen to represent is indicated with a lower case letter, or, in handwritten notation, with a square around the letter. Parentheses are sometimes also used to designate a blank, although this may create confusion with a second (optional) function of parentheses, namely indication of an existing letter or word that has been "played through" by the main word.

Example 1:

A(D)DITiON(AL) D3 74

(played through the existing letter D and word AL, using a blank for the second I, extending down the D column and beginning on row 3, and scoring 74 points)

yeah, it was sent to my Gmail. I did however send josh a Q&A shortly before i recieved that. It was deleted, but it did not say anything like *not answered* it just said *answer pending* , then it disappeared and i had the email. I asked something like

"hey J,

I know noones here to moderate questions so I wanted to ask you, Why do you need to contact Dwayne? I have been trying to get him to join, but i need a reason why.

Tabs"

Is anyone else having problems asking Josh a question?

I keep getting an error page headed by:
Server Error in '/' Application.

I just had to ask, couldn't resist:

Joshua,

Do you understand the movie "The Matrix" and what it is about? Do you think that it is possible that the plot could be reality in our world?

Answer: I have not actually seen the movie yet, and only know the plot synopsis as provided through online sources. I hope to be able to see the movie very soon.

edit: Also, I've tried to mail a few of the team members with the internal mail system but no response. Just listed that I sent the mail. And as far as communication, I've talked to Ivan on my gmail. Is anyone else communicating with the team members through the internal system?

Bunny images

I imaged processed the bunny images in photoshop.
The first image is from the one with the Bunny and Surfboard.

The next ones are from the Bunny and Surfboard and the Bunny in the spotlight alone. Since the bunny in both images is isometric they you can use a difference function on them. With some further image processing to make it clearer.

What I see in the images is a "happy face" or a "bunny face" and the letters spelling across MAD and above the A another D.

Hmm, yeah, I haven't had any correspondence with any of the team OR Joshua for a couple of days. I guess they hate me all of a sudden Sad

Tut, and after I tried to be so nice to Joshua as well. He needs to be more careful with who he ignores... he might have friends, but he doesn't have any enemies yet. Mwahahaha...

Appears that I have received the email as well.

the darkness. All we need is just the sun in the sky. And the hope of a

Another quote that doesn't seem to have a named source.

OH, and the picture is named PartOne.jpg. So we can expect a part two and maybe more? Dun dun dun...

I tried asking Ivan if he thought Joshua could have purposely deactivated his camera because he wanted one of better quality, hah. He replied:

Quote:
Not only can I not imagine how he would do such a thing, but I don't see why.

I haven't had a chance today; I've barely been at my desk. I'm sitting here on the customer area floor typing this on a wireless laptop, waiting for these clowns to finish moving their stuff.

Don't know what clowns he's talking about, so I asked him. Ivan seemed a bit less jovial there... but I guess he was sitting on the floor Smile

Nice, that was my submission. Kind of wish he'd chosen one of my movies or something instead though. I'm not a huge art scholar but I figured it'd be a decent representation of pop art. Or something.

Okay, I just found something out.

It seems to be impossible to access any of the old blogs after a certain number of blogs have been put up.

Right now it seems the oldest blog of Joshua's that can be accessed is the one about green eggs and ham. At least through the official site anyways.
Donno about external links like from the forums here.

I found this out trying to get a copy of Josh's original raytraced bunny.
(so if anyone has a link or a copy, it'd be most appreciated)

EDIT: Okay strike that, you can through the site, but you have to do it half-assed backwards. You can go to the oldest blog and hit the [<<] button above the comments to go back, but you have to go through all of them until you hit the one you want.

From Ivan's blog--
Quote:
It's bad enough I got all this multi-million dollar hardware to deal with and keep working, now I have to figure out why a $10 camera isn't working?

I'll have to go get a new one later today. Got a customer coming in here to move some hardware around so I might be occupied for a bit; they pay the bills, so they take a little attention.

Hmm, someone moving in? This sounds like adding something else to the pot. I can things starting to esculate...
