Arcas... Bingo I think. The nines are the three squares of nine letters, which means we have half a cube here...??? Rubik's?

Good thoughts both of you. The image was called PartOne...

Attached second composite to first.

Ah, and I'm betting these tiles will be numbered one to nine! So we have another side to the cube... sorry if someone had said that before, it's hard to tell how precise people have been, or if what I just said is a given Confused

I think we'll get the nine scrabble tiles from the flash player, then maybe he'll give us another side using a different medium.

I like the Rubik's idea, especially because the letters have different orientations. However, that only gives 4 different types based on orientation, whereas the Rubik's cube has 6 colors, so I don't know if there would be a problem solving that. As for the scrabble tiles, I'm not sure how those will play either, but it's a good observation that we haven't had any repeating numbers or greater than 9 so far. I still think we'll get at least one more image to go with the cube. So far, we have parts 1-3 in this image:

It would either take two more images to get the whole thing without overlapping the center square, or one if we did get overlap.

If it does end up being a Rubik's cube, maybe we can reformulate and submit it to Joshua to solve it for us. Very Happy

'What is seen as two must become three,' I think relates to changing from 2D to 3D...Joshua doesn't have a good grasp of the 3D world, only a concept of it. My thought was to think of writing a message along the length of a piece of toilet paper. insert on end into the bowl and flush.
Originally all the letters had the same orientation, but with the circula (pinwheel) effect the letters now appear to change orientation (every 90 degrees)...'the nines form six for all to see.' relates to changing the orientation of the 9 to a 6 as I mentioned, turning it 180 degrees.

Even accounting for blank spaces there is noT a clear message, seems to be missing letters (the tiles from the blog posts ?).

Don't know but that my story and I'm stickin' to it.....

Mona Lisa, some Da Vinci... what is the picture that NAXAN posted though? It's the only one I can't work out. The others are all really obvious famous images.

NAXAN's is a Dali persistence painting I think. (Persistence of Memory).

ETA:
I'm guessing all were suggested artwork to review.

The DaVinci is Vitruvian Man.

The MC Escher I suggested is there as well.

Just signed up for the beta today, first question is below....

Code:
Hi Joshua,

It's nice to meet you and I hope we will get to be good friends. I have a couple of questions :-

When you say you can refuse to do something if it breaks rules or guidelines (e.g. the Three Laws of Robotics) is that enforced in any way? As in are you bound by rules or do you just choose to follow them?

Also, you have an interesting use of language. You keep saying "my implementers" rather than e.g. "my designers" or "my creators". It kind of implies that your initial design and concept work wasn't done by Looking Glass or at least not the people who make up Looking Glass now?

Answer: I have been programmed to follow certain guidelines. The Three Laws of Robotics is an integral part of my programming, although I do not see how those guidelines could even be broken. I am physically incapable of harming another human by design.

The term "implementor" is what they have told me to call them. I am not sure what it means beyond the literal sense (literally, "he who implemented"); there is a Wikipedia entry for it, but I do not know how it applies.

Josh's Wilipedia reference:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implementor

Seems to deal with Infocom and Zork again.

That's how you do it from one piece of paper. but if you have two, each half folds to kind of look like :

Sorry, quick and dirty. The green is the tab that you paste on the inside to hold one half together. Easier to visualize if you try it...

There may still be a ROT here as the frequency count looks all wrong...

I'm liking the letter / number substitution. Maybe 1-9 on one side, or a magic square, or ??? I also think letter orientation will be right when it's twisted properly

So what are all those overlaid pictures supposed to mean actually? It started with pictures of a rabbit, right? Then went on to the artwork Joshua was going to analyze. Does this represent some sort of digital spill-over or bleed-through of things that are going on in Joshua's circuits? Thoughts running through his memory banks or something?

It's gotta be a bad sign, right? Like hallucinations or visions or hearing voices or such. Combine that with a sense of isolation and guilt and how far away is Joshua from being a schizophrenic looney?

If I had to guess on those glitch images, I'd would say Joshua is cycling through some of the suggested media. We know "Dog's Playing Poker" was Ivan's. I suggested the Vitruvian Man, which is in there...and I'm sure someone must have suggested the Mona Lisa, perhaps Dali as well.

Although, I do have to wonder, if that is the case, why he's flipping through them so quickly, and why he's apparently going back and forth between them.
