I received the package today also.

Address Label. I assume it was supposed to have been attached to the smaller package that the cube was wrapped in but it was partially attached to the letter instead.

The letter to Mr. Rabbitte

Pictures of the cube:

The only other thing in the package was 8 sheets of white legal paper (8.5 x 14) and, as far as I can tell, nothing is on them.

Got my cube today. Everything the same as others have reported. If you count the letter, there were 8 pieces of white paper in the box. I think the putting the letters on idea is on the rigth track. I was actually thinking about it on the way home from work in fact. Anyone peel the stickers off yet?

Looks like this is one of those "America only" things with the packages... which doesn't give me much to work with Rolling Eyes But I guess I could get a normal cube... the Happitec version isn't magical or anything. Is it... ? Shocked

I'm having a hard time guessing where this one is going to go, but I like it that way. For now I'll stick with the interactive side of things as opposed to the puzzle-solving I think!

It's a standard Rubik's cube, Rubik's brand and all. You could buy one yourself to play along. As for putting the letters on, I'm either going to use a glue stick or just find a grease pencil and write them onto the cube.

And we can definitely use the interactive players. I'm out of my element sometimes trying to think on my feet in a conversation.

While you guys are working on your cubes, I'll pose this question...

Joshua, in some of his blogs, mentions Beta Tester numbers and their initials. Here is the list:
Quote:
Thinker: #1150 J.D. #1388 B.F.
Weekend at Bernie's: #1020 W.L.
Green Eggs and Ham: standard user not registered B.N.
Michelangelo's Pieta: #1017 N.H.
American Pie #1035 G.B.
Campbell's Soup Cans: #1430 A.E.
Machu Picchu: (provided pictures) not registered N.M.
Blade Runner: #1195 T.Z.

Esteed sent in Thinker, Little Albatross sent in the Campbell's Soup Cans.
I don't know the others.

Anybody know what these numbers and initials might mean or is this trout?

This is probably stating the obvious but A.E. are my initials. I dunno about the number though. If I remember correctly, my login is BETA1430, but I don't know if they're randomly assigned or whatever.

That was quite helpful as I didn't know if Joshua was randomly assigning initials and numbers. Anybody know who submitted the other stuff?

Nines become sixes

Considering the earlier clue; Is it possible that the each side of the cube (having nine squares) needs to have 2 rows of one colour separated by another? This would mean that each side would display something similar to the 'six' on a standard dice.

Of course, even if this is the case, there's still the matter of orientation, but you might be able to work that out by looking at the different positions of the letters and numbers.
