Ok so Afterworld isn't what I figured it'd be thought it was gonna be w/ actual actors etc but it's pretty neat and yeah this ARG definitely resembles it on more than one front.
1: The being the 'only person' thing.
2: EMP dealio
3: The Memo which states "Highest state of security" etc. "Possible Terrorist Attack".
I'm guessing it's based off.

Tis true. Subnet.sol was on my computer. And I can't access the sites. Go figure.
Ok MAJOR confusion going on here Steph LOL.
1: You have evidently visited www.emergencysubnet.com because you've got a shitload of info for us lol... And you said you accessed it via the net, obvioulsy.
2: You say you don't have access on your computer.
So. Are you going to Emergencysubnet.com via someone elses/a public P.C?
Because what I'm saying is... If you've visited either www.emergencysubnet.com or I also believe the original website which had the counter from the very beginning... Subnet.sol will log itself onto your P.C - Even if you've not actually been surfing the site on your home P.C...
Edit: And sidenote... How the heck do I watch the A.W series? Is it through www.afterworld.tv?
1. The info I've got isn't anything that hasn't been gotten already here and elsewhere, or from a little creative research into interesting topics.
2. That's true. I'm the US. I guess I'm being geoblocked. I've tried many times; no joy. I can visit the websites; I can't access them, which is what I've been saying.
Using other computer: Nope.
And Yes to the Afterworld question. It's a great series, I just wish I had more time to sit down and listen/watch it all, or that it was available as an audiobook.

@Steph: you can get it easy enough from the states, via freeanonymousproxy.net. See http://emergencysubnet.blogspot.com

SubNET In the vid with all the buildings, it does look like a prison at one point. Kind of a wall and gate feeling at the bottom of the scene, almost like Pentonville but in red brick.
What do you reckon?

I've been searching for words and may have found a few new things, though I might just have missed them before...
CHROMOSOME brings up a map of the UK showing subspots, with London circled.
SIDEWINDER brings up a pdf about a missile launch report.
PROTECTED shows what looks like a plane crash test.

These may be old. Forgive me if they are

They are all generic search videos r2 but no need to apologise! That last one I do believe is actually an attempt @ a land-speed record of some kind though.

That is actually a video I've never seen before (I don't think anyone has actually?)
I believe though, that's possibly something to do w/ MI5/6 or MoD; and it's where the "Sturn Report" came from.

I got to this by getting a list of all prisons in london, and trying their names one by one. How would "Bridewell" fit in back then? I used the prison-like image in the purgatory video as a basis.
Edit - Actually, it was seen and recorded on page 9 of this thread.

Last time (Or the one before that?) It didn't update until between 1:30 and 2pm GMT...
I'm guessing perhaps they forgot the clocks went forward an hour Sat' night so to whoever's doing the site it could possibly still be 11:50am GMT lol

new update and todays word is "commnet". this gives a page of general advise to public for emergencys. on the left a symbols of various authorities, which appear clickable. ran out of power now. i dont want to cheat with the power, but i am beginning to find it frustrating;)
