I had emailed them yesterday regarding their Monetizer ads. Response:

The Monetizer Network is composed of a multi-layered advertising system. Similar to \"web rings\" used by other web sites, the Monetizer Network takes advantage of meta-data to make sure that your company\'s advertising is hosted on sites that are relative to your demographic needs. The Monetizer Network is constantly going through updates in order to maximize compatibility for our clients. As an integral part of the PANAL architecture, Monetizer allows our users to quickly and easily advertise new services of your company!

Monetizer may be purchased as an add on for your existing PANAL server. By simply installing the Monetizer package, your server becomes Monetizer enabled. The only information stored on your server is your own advertisements. Other ads are pulled from across the Monetizer Network and displayed on your web pages. We believe that the heart of the internet revolves around the sharing of information and the Monetizer Network is no different.

You may purchase the Monetizer Add-On through the add-ons page of the Administrator Panel in PANAL.

Thank you for your inquiry into the Monetizer Network.

Got the same email. I wrote back to support claiming to be an IT professional, requesting pricing and additional information regarding how I might go about acquiring PANAL and the Monetizer add-on. Will update if I get a reply.

Edit: Had another idea. On the website's Company Info page, the bottom paragraph mentions their interest in recruiting "young and talented programmers." So, I sent in my resume (under a different alias). Smile

shrtyscott3 translated this on the previous page. Reads as follows:

Wow, have not been on the site for years! I'd like to get into a game at the beginning so here it goes!

The missing founder paragraph says if you have any info to click on the support button, not sure if that was always there so I did and left my name and email and stated I've been following the company product progress and if there was anything to do to help in Florida to contact me. Maybe I'll get a response. Smile

Hi there, I have just found this website, I think it may be related to the ARG, but maybe a behind the curtains...
http://alexloyola.com/

I'm spanish so I understand what's in there... Interesting posts:
Feb 2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Beginning today, redloyola is in the able hands of Robert. I wish them good luck and success

Feb 25:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

We are quite near to getting a new sponsor for the grant. We will announce it soon.

An interesting detail is the use of the word "auspiciador" (spanish for sponsor, so to speak). It's not a common word in spain, anyone would have used the word "esponsor" directly, so maybe this Alex Loyola is not really spanish (could be from south america, spanish there is a bit different)

I doubt that's a behind-the-curtains site. Excellent find!

Robert Morgan was the co-founder of RedLoyola, but it appears that the entire company has been handed over to him. Why would Alex leave RedLoyola? Also, The date of the last entry on http://alexloyola.com (Feb. 25th) corresponds with Alex's February 26th disappearance. A date to keep in mind...

Tenchizard, your comment on the usage of "auspiciador" is very insightful; I agree, doesn't seem like Alex is Spanish. And thanks for your translations! As most of our clues have been Spanish-related, your assistance for solving this mystery will be invaluable!

To recap, here's a list of the site's we need to keep an eye on:
http://www.redloyola.com
http://www.riveracapital.com
http://www.alexloyola.com
http://www.loyolascholarship.org
http://www.flickr.com/photos/23520195@N07/

Edit: While browsing alexloyola.com, I spotted the following on the May 3rd, 2007 entry:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0

Any ideas on getting that decoded? Looks hexadecimal, but doesn't appear to be base 16.

Edit 2: June 15th, 2006 entry:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Te amo, Steph." Google translates to: "I love you, Steph." In reference to Stephanie Loyola, Alex's wife.

Definitely not a behind-the-curtains site. I suggest to everyone following along to comb the alexloyola.com site for any and all clues you might come by.

Edit 3: Anyone play World of Warcraft? There may be an Alex Loyola character roaming around in-game. There might be a Facebook account for Alex as well.

I thought someone had already found this site, but after seeing your recap I guess maybe not. Take a look:
http://www.loyolascholarship.org/

So now we got some more data, it seems like Alex and Stephanie got married in 1997, and they live in Barcelona (spain), but I guess they're not spanish (Alex's name IS a spanish name, complete with spanish surnames, but I guess he can be south-american, Stephanie's name is not spanish at all). Also, their child's name, Meren, doesn't sound spanish to me (and a quick search reveals it's the dutch word for "moor").

I don't live in Barcelona (doh!) but got some friends there, so if someone can find where is Stephanie's restaurant, maybe I could try to confirm it (I don't know if the game has gone as long as to make that possible).

False alarm, doing a google search of "09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0" shows it is the code to decrypt HD-DVDs. Sad

Has any one tried using various combinations of names to get into the user section? I have tried some things like, Aloyola, alex, Alejandro as usernames; and Meren, meren2001, 61997 as passwords. No luck yet but maybe some one else has some better ideas. I think if we can get into the user section, the download of PANAL could be a clue.

on alexloyola.com, http://alexloyola.com/pics/ubuntu.png, this picture has a username filled out in the background.
also on the Flicker site I found the location of 2 of the pictures,
http://www.flickr.com/photos/23520195@N07/2307724466/ is at http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&hs=8f4&q=jones+lane+hwy&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
Jones lane hwy runs between statesboro, GA and Sylvainia, GA.

and

http://www.flickr.com/photos/23520195@N07/2307724440/ is a picture of Sagon RV supercenter, and its here http://maps.google.com/maps?q=172+Van+Mar+Boulevard&ie=UTF8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&hl=en&near=Jackson,+GA+30233&f=l

Yep, sure enough. We may need to decrypt some HD-DVD's down the road, so lets keep this code on the back-burner.

Done. This time I'm a native Albania, studying Culinary Arts. Let's hope I get accepted for the scholarship.

Awesome! I tried messing around with the photos, but wasn't able to come up with anything. Anyone else give it a try? Note that the images were uploaded February 25th.

Very nice catch! Also, excellent job spotting the RV center and identifying the Georgia locations. I sent an email to the support staff at redloyola.com stating where I think Alex might be. Competitor, I suggest you do the same.

Another possible avenue at http://www.loyolascholarship.org/mission.html:

If someone feels up to posing as a philanthropist, might try sending an email to them.

Alex!!!

Found a startling image:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://alexloyola.com/pics/mysteryimage.jpg

Perhaps we should be looking for a tombstone....

Edit: Had a chain of discoveries. I think its all behind-the-curtains stuff, but still worth looking at.

http://alexloyola.com/2005/04/ shows a different layout than the rest of the pages at the site. Clicking on the arrow in the top-left corner leads to a blog: http://blog.franrodriguez.net/

At the above blog, I found a few more interesting images:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://franrodriguez.net/images/panallogo.jpg
http://franrodriguez.net/images/redloyolalogo.jpg

And then I found this:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
http://franrodriguez.net/images/cover.jpg

The image highlights a non-existent URL. Note the Loyola Scholarship website. Hrm...

I wonder about these images because the author of the blog, Francisco Rodriquez, graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design (see his resume here: http://www.franrodriguez.net/resume.pdf), which is where the creators of Project Loyola are. So, yeah, definitely think the blog is a behind-the-curtains page. Still interesting.

Of smaller note, I noticed on alexloyola.com, on the December 17th, 2007 entry, there was a note about Meren below the youtube Elmo video:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Ahora se lo que NO le voy a conseguir a Meren." Google translates to: "This is NOT what I am going to get Meren."
