Okay, you're gonna head down Center street, and you're gonna take a left at the light. At the next stop, you'll see an orange-painted house, and... Very Happy

The real directions:
  1. Download mIRC from here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html
  2. Install and run. An "unregistered" dialog will pop up. Wait a few seconds and then hit continue.
  3. You should get an mIRC Options dialog (if not, go to Tools->Options). In the "Connect" category, go to "Servers."
  4. On the right, click "Add."
  5. For description, type anything, irc server, put: us.undernet.org, leave the rest, and click "Add."
  6. With your new server selected in the list, click "Select." The dialog will change. Click "Connect."
  7. IRC will open a new window and connect you to the server. After it loads, type: /join #FOA
  8. You should be in channel #FOA. You're done! If you want to change your name, type: /nick whatever_name_here

If anyone has problems, I will be on MSN (see profile). Feel free to contact me!

Guys....

Guys! I don't know whether you noticed this, because nothing has been posted on it, but take a look at the site, redloyola.com. Sounds like they are finished:

Quote:
Due to circumstances beyond our control, Red Loyola will be closing its doors permanently. We wish to thank all of your customers and clients over the years for their support. Current customers will still be able to contact us through the "Support" link of their PANAL control panel.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, it was already noticed, I just couldn't find it on the thread, sorry...

I'll be there. In fact, Illusioneer and I are there right now. I'm guessing DST isn't going to figure into this, as the timezone was specified, rather than something like "Greenwich -5."

[11:30] <Roxelle> Are we being watched?
[11:30] <codemonkey> I want to apologize for all of the cryptic messages in the past, but they were watching
[11:30] <codemonkey> No. I've made the room as secure as I can
[11:30] <codemonkey> We should be safe, but I can't say for how long.
[11:30] <Omega147> Who, codemonkey? Who's watching?
[11:30] <Roxelle> Who was/is watching
[11:30] <codemonkey> Ecstaticorp
01[11:30] <Illusioneer> Are you Alex Loyola?
[11:30] <codemonkey> I am not. Alex is dead.
[11:31] <codemonkey> I am simply a codemonkey. No more. No less.
[11:31] <codemonkey> I discovered the plot to kill Alex
[11:31] <Omega147> Why are they watching you? Did you work for Ecstaticorp in the past?
[11:32] <codemonkey> I work for Ecstaticorp now actually
[11:32] <codemonkey> Well...a division of Ecstaticorp that the public doesn't see
[11:32] <Big_Larry> So you worked for redloyola
01[11:32] <Illusioneer> Are you Robert?
[11:32] <codemonkey> No. I never worked for redloyola
[11:32] <codemonkey> I am not Robert
[11:32] <Roxelle> They kill ppl off to take their company?
[11:32] <codemonkey> Robert is unaware of what actually happened at his company
[11:32] <codemonkey> I believe that is what happened in this instance Roxelle, yes.
[11:33] <Omega147> We would be interested in hearing the plot to kill Alex... Do you have the time?
[11:33] <codemonkey> I believe I can share it Omega. You will have to take my word that it is a "truth" for now. I have been having problems finding hard evidence against the company
[11:34] <codemonkey> In 2005, executives at Ecstaticorp decided that information distribution was the wave of the future. During a meeting, the decided that control of information was in the company's best interest.
01[11:34] <Illusioneer> Has Estaticorp done something like this before?
[11:34] <codemonkey> Their plan was simple. Create a program to gather information from the Internet to be able to use to expand and promote the company.
[11:35] <codemonkey> If any of you are familiar with the "Carnivore" program, it is like that.
03[11:35] * NighthawkUF (~info@me15f36d0.tmodns.net) has joined #FOA
01[11:35] <Illusioneer> Is that Panel+?
[11:35] <codemonkey> Unfortunately, Ecstaticorp had no market in internet technologies.
01[11:35] <Illusioneer> Hi nighthawk.
[11:35] <Roxelle> ^youre late Razz
[11:35] <NighthawkUF> Hey. Don't know much about anything, but figured I'd look in here. I'm bored today. Smile
[11:36] <codemonkey> I believe, and this is where my evidence falls short, that Ecstaticorp approached Sophia Rivera and attemtped to purchase Red Loyola.
[11:36] <codemonkey> Alex would have nothing with it. He didn't want his company and life's ambition falling into cold, corporate hands.
[11:37] <codemonkey> While I don't believe that Sophia was involved with the murder of Alex, I don't think she tried to warn Alex of the "seriousness" of Ecstaticorp's offer.
[11:37] <codemonkey> After his death, Ecstaticorp bribed or threatened many of Red Loyola's employees into leaving the company (Many of them work in some area of Ecstaticorp now)
[11:37] <Roxelle> Does Sophia work there too?
01[11:38] <Illusioneer> Is Sophia still helping Estaticorp?
[11:38] <codemonkey> No. She took the money from the sale of the company and forgot all about everything that had happened.
[11:38] <NighthawkUF> I'm kinda new to all this so I don't know all the back history... Why does Ecstaticorp want Red Loyola so badly?
[11:38] <codemonkey> Ecstaticorp's ARCA project, as it was codenamed, has been integrated into PANAL. This is what they are calling PANAL+
[11:38] <Omega147> ARCA?
01[11:39] <Illusioneer> ARCA?
[11:39] <codemonkey> Yes.
[11:39] <codemonkey> ARCA is the spying software.
01[11:39] <Illusioneer> Is it an acronym?
[11:39] <codemonkey> When placed inside of PANAL, it will allow Ecstaticorp to gather all packets traveling through PANAL servers
[11:39] <codemonkey> I don't know Illusioneer. I have only heard it referenced as ARCA.
[11:40] <codemonkey> In the past month I've been trying to gain access to the ARCA program in order to deconstruct it to find out how it works.
[11:40] <Big_Larry> We have established who is the pawn, the queen, and the opponent. Is ARCA the predator?
[11:41] <codemonkey> If so, I may be able to develop a counter measure to protect PANAL from the project...and possibly get evidence of the blood on Ecstaticorps hands
[11:41] <codemonkey> Yes Big_Larry. ARCA is the predator
[11:41] <Roxelle> How do we fit into this?
[11:41] <codemonkey> I've been having trouble breaking some of the cryptography on ARCA security systems
01[11:42] <Illusioneer> Is there any way for us to gain access to ARCA?
[11:42] <codemonkey> I'm not good with those sort of things (as many of you can tell from my "protected" messages)
[11:42] <codemonkey> Illusioneer: Not at the moment
[11:42] <NighthawkUF> well, we know some people who are good at that sort of thing.
[11:42] <Omega147> We'd be glad to help. Could you sent us the encrypted information?
[11:42] <Omega147> send*
[11:43] <codemonkey> Omega: I'll have to sneak it out of work to get it to everyone. It might take me a couple of days or even a week to do so. Ecstaticorps security is very strong on this project, and I have to stay under the radar
[11:43] <Omega147> Understandable. No need to put yourself at unnecessary risk.
01[11:44] <Illusioneer> Could it be possible for you to hide it on the site?
[11:44] <codemonkey> I'll continue to use the same contact method I have been, although it seems that my last message didn't reach everyone successfully
[11:44] <Omega147> What was the message?
[11:44] <codemonkey> Are there any questions that I can answer that I haven't already?
01[11:44] <Illusioneer> Does So Cute!!.jpg have info hidden on it?
[11:44] <Big_Larry> Why Capablanca?
[11:45] <codemonkey> Yes it does Illusioneer
[11:45] <Roxelle> Where is Ecstaticorp headquarters?, GA?
[11:45] <codemonkey> But Robert beat everyone to the punch and contacted you instead of the other way around
[11:45] <Big_Larry> or, to be more precise, why choose the name Capablanca?
[11:45] <codemonkey> I honestly don't know where the head quarters are Roxelle.
[11:46] <codemonkey> I've been faking an injury to be able to work from home for the past 3 weeks. I'm on disability
[11:46] <codemonkey> I had been working in the Atlanta area
[11:46] <codemonkey> Capablanca? Simply a name I heard my father use. He was interested in chess. I never picked up his love for the game.
[11:47] <codemonkey> One word of caution
[11:47] <codemonkey> Robert may not take this information well. I feel it's in our best interest if he wasn't told this information at this moment
[11:47] <codemonkey> I plan on contacting him once we gain access to panal+, since he knows the panal code better than I do
[11:47] <Roxelle> wouldnt he be of alot of help?
[11:47] <codemonkey> But I want hard evidence before I approach him
[11:47] <Roxelle> i see
[11:48] <codemonkey> He still believes that Alex was murdered in a highway robbery
[11:48] <codemonkey> And I also don't believe that Stephanie should be involved in this at all. She's been through so much already.
[11:49] <Omega147> Why is Ecstaticorp spying on the PANAL user base?
[11:49] <codemonkey> Since PANAL was the largest growing server architecture, they believed that by acquiring it before it hand become full blown stable that the code could be easily slipped in
[11:50] <codemonkey> They wanted to attack while it was still young
[11:50] <codemonkey> So that convincing Sophia of the sale would be easier
[11:50] <codemonkey> And many different reasons
[11:50] <Big_Larry> So is it tied in with Monetizer, especially considering the targeting of the advertisements?
[11:51] <codemonkey> No. Monetizer was something Sophia mandated be included in PANAL as a money making venture. Alex hated it.
[11:51] <codemonkey> Ecstaticorp has no need for it.
[11:51] <codemonkey> They don't even care if PANAL is the best. They just want something.
[11:53] <codemonkey> 3 minutes until my "security" becomes unreliable. If there is nothing else, I will make contact as soon as I can. I may have to make the information in the images harder to find, since I fear they are catching on.
01[11:53] <Illusioneer> Is So Cute!!.jpg stegged?
[11:53] <Omega147> Thank you, Code Monkey, for your help.
[11:53] <codemonkey> Yes
[11:53] <Roxelle> got a password for it?
[11:54] <codemonkey> But the message was "Talk to the man that knew alex best"
[11:54] <codemonkey> That has already been done
[11:54] <Roxelle> I thought we werent supposed to talk to Robert?
[11:54] <codemonkey> I feared contacting everyone directly about this would be a major red flag to the system
[11:54] <codemonkey> Don't talk to him any more about this. Of if you must talk to him, don't let him know what is happening
[11:54] <codemonkey> He will be informed when the time is right
[11:55] <codemonkey> I fear if he knows, he will goto Ecstaticorp directly, and my cover will be blown.
[11:55] <codemonkey> Or that he won't believe it, which would be worse.
[11:55] <Big_Larry> Again, thank you for your help, Codemonkey
[11:55] <codemonkey> I must go. Expect contact in the next couple of days
01[11:55] <Illusioneer> Anything else we should know?

01[11:57] <Illusioneer> How would you ask about the PMs in an "IG way"?
[11:57] <Roxelle> He said he worked in Atlanta area
[11:57] <Roxelle> I was going to ask if he knew when Georgia Tech, and Savannah College would be done

I'll attach one that works. The original is big (500k), but the image seen is small (3k), so there is more going on than just the image. The code shown is

Toasty, one of the semaphore letters is off. Should be:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ajgucvizqp

ETA: Nevermind, you caught it. Wink

I tried using the semaphore code to desteg the image, but no luck. For anyone trying, btw, JPHide will give you an error: "Unsuitable input jpeg file. Number of components must be 3, this one has 4." I'm not sure what it means by "components." Trying in camouflage doesn't reveal anything either.

ETA2: Just to throw out, Code Monkey's wording in the email might be a hint at solving this code:

Yeah, caught that the second time through. Now, what is it and what's it for? May have to do a little hex spelunking in the code image.

Looks like the image is CMYK instead of RGB, thus the 4 colors. Not sure why it's using that colorspace - generally used for printing.

Yeah, Firefox doesn't know what the hell to do with that colorspace.

I can't begin to think of what to do with it. It's CMYK, so JPSeek doesn't know what to do with. Stegdetect's coming up with an error. But there's definitely something there.

4th character from end doesn't look like "i" to me. Maybe .com, .jpg, .png or something like that?

I don't know how but I lost all of this movement... now I'm up to date, but I don't know how to go on.

About the I letter, I also thought it could be an N, but then I realized the stick was in the circle because it's supposed to cross the "face" while pointing top left.

EDIT: I've been investigating ecstaticorp web for a while... well, it's quite hilarous Razz
Have you seen that 60 week hour schedule? they said employees "have expressed disinterest in Estaticorps 60-hour work week schedule, which promotes happiness and well being amongst employees"... of course! who wouldn't!! In that post they say the got hold of an advertising company from NY... maybe that's relevant? or just some more "look-we-are-evil" tips for us?

Oh, and on a side note, ARCA in spanish means ARK (just as PANAL means HONEYCOMB)
