New Video.
I noticed that the 2nd definition of Camouflage is bold and V. appears..Meaning it's a verb and most likely significant.

Also:

Focus. Here's a huge hint to utilizing Castro and Castro.

But that doesn't matter at the moment. Help him.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I fear that Jack has been alerted to our actions.

Assuming that Eli makes it back before the fifteenth as planned, serious security measures will have to be taken.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

I e-mailed Scindo:
Quote:
Scindo,

What are we to do about Jack? We've decoded your message, and if he has been alerted, then how? Does 'Jessica' have something to do with it? Is he going to try to stop us from sending Eli back in time? I spoke to Eli last night, and he's scared.

And soon after, I recieved this reply:
Quote:
Eli needs more information from more sources. Once this has been accomplished, then Eli should return to this time.. if his theory is correct.

As I said before, it is unfortunate but Omnis has never foreseen this procedure and therefore knows nothing of it's mechanics. Such is the manner of deviations - they're unintended.

The clock's ever-ticking.. I can't guide you any further. I can only rest and hope that, should I have to, the vicis vitas I have stockpiled can alter the timeline.

Eli must not die.

It seems the earlier theory of Eli's death has been disproven. We must absolutely prevent it.

So apparently our goal right now is to get more people to call Eli and leave him messages about this time period, and we need to do it tonight and tomorrow before he gets stabbed. I'll call again soon.

I sent an email:

Quote:
If Caesar is requiring more information to return, what kind of information should we be looking for? If it is just simply cultural information, I'm sure we can give him a ton of info, but if you're looking for something specific, I don't think we're seeing it. Maybe we missed a clue in a video?

I got a reply:

Maybe he needs massive amounts of memories or information in order to time travel?

I called Eli and left a message again. Talked about some seriously random shit like Canada and facebook and Avenged Sevenfold. I doubt it'll help him any, but Scindo did say quantity, not quality.

I think everyone else should do the same.

Got a reply from Scindo:

Quote:
Yes, I am "Scindo".
I have not always existed. Only after the first deviation was I formed from the ripped shreds of the Grand Timeline. Omnis is all-knowing and all-thoughful, and of course implemented my birth and further deployment in the beginning.

I thought I have explained this. The genetic information inherited from your ancestors is a culmination of the entire world's DNA, just in varying amounts. We all all connected in some way to famous figures in history. It is the degree of closeness to that ancestor that makes a person's prius memoria, or "genetic memory", useable. However, the treatment is incredibly unstable at this point in time.

Eli's physical form is in today's times, but he lives his life now in 44 BC. It can be assumed that his death in the past will enduce death in the present. I wish I could offer more on that subject, but this is a first for me.

This, does not bode well for Eli... Perhaps I should leave another message.

I called and left another message tonight, talked about like half the Drudge headlines, told him to hang in there.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
he's looking screwed. Sad

New Scindo log.

I think that Eli is 16 years old.

How that helps any, I'm not sure.

I just talked to Eli, He asked what I thought he should do, I had no idea what to tell him. I'm in the middle of memorizing an entire chapter Petronius's Satyricon in Latin. I told him to be careful, and he got kind of pissed, told me everything would change if he tried to keep his head down. I don't think I failed, but I can't think of anything else to tell him to do.

Where the hell is Caesar's mind if Eli's mind is stuck there in Julius' body?

Spoilerish speculations
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

So there are a couple stories to how spent his Julius Caesar final moments, the one that everyone knows, that is most certainly wrong, totally disproves Eli being the one to die in Caesars place tomorrow. That one goes something like this. Caesar goes into the forum, the senators intercept him, Casca stabs him, then the rest do and his last words are "Et tu Brute?"(And you Brutus?/Even you Brutus?). This is just plain historically wrong.

The second is much the same but much more widely accepted as possible, only difference are his last words, "καὶ σύ, τέκνον/Kai su teknon"(You too my son!". This one basically proves Eli can't die, it's not a simple Greek phrase, but a snippet of "You too my son will have a taste of power", a phrase which became a sort of proverb among Romans at the time. This line is Caesar foreshadowing Brutus' violent death. This was all told by a roman historian, Suetonius. Eli wouldn't understand it's significance if he doesn't understand the other choices he needs to make in Caesar's place.

However the third one really would make Eli's death plausible. This greek historian guy, Plutarch, said that he didn't do anything, just pulled his toga over his head. This is pretty unbecoming of a military leader who conquered the Gauls, and helped forge a golden era of Rome. Romans had this thing with death you see, it would have been the ultimate act of cowardice and dishonor to not face it. More like an act of a child.
Just some more info.

What does the title of the file have to do with anything? "Turn the wheel once"?

Just joining in here. Could mean lots of things.

The concept of a wheel of time is common in various religions. They believe time is cyclical, consisting of repeating ages. This concept is one which a best-selling fantasy book series is based on. We measure time with what you would call a cyclical unit.

Turn the wheel once. One age? One cycle? How do we turn the wheel of time then, for Eli? There is a landmark known as the Timewheel, that is a giant hour glass. It is turned 180 degrees every year, ie: you turn the timewheel once every year. This is obviously too literal though. There's something we need to help Eli do, to turn the wheel. Something more specific than helping him with current information? Ideas?

I was thinking it might have something to do with the other half of that puzzle, which is still totally unsolved, the text in the description. I've spent about 5 hours doing funny things with the letters that come to mind and so far I've got nothing. Embarassed
