Yeah jasper, do it! And after that, maybe another location will be unlocked. Is Austin GMT +7?

BTW. I get a green dot on Lunglei, right now. But it's still the same 'pending' message. I find that a bit strange.

Austin is in the middle of daylight savings.
I believe it is GMT-5 right now.

Sorry if it was found already, I didn't read all the posts in this topic.

I found a red dot in Boise.

Redivo, somebody found it just recently (page 17 of this thread I think). I haven't checked yet, but is it in the great circle of Stepheville or another omphalos altogether? We still haven't found the Denmark/Germany/??? one. Attemps tried in here: http://olympics.wikibruce.com/Denmark_Attempts
Everyone who's trying, please post you're unsuccessful attempts.

About Austin, I meant ot say GMT -7, not +7. It's -5 then (just to calculate when that'll be on my timezone!)

How to look for drops

Are we assuming that any name entered into the database will always be a city? What about other natural features, such as lakes or mountains?

Has anyone been following up on the other hint we got - was it from MeiHui - who asked whose site we are looking at? It's not Eli's, but perhaps he knows?

I did a lookup of the IP on dnsstuff.com . The computer with that IP address is in Beltsville, Maryland. The organization listed is Digex, Incorporated at One Digex Plaza. There is a Tracy L. Bowers listed as the contact person for abuse and such, but she's probably an employee of Digex.

I'm not very technical, so the traceroute option didn't turn up anything I found interesting, but maybe someone more technically-minded would like to follow that up.

I don't know how relevant any of this is, but since a whois could be done, might as well throw that information out there.

a wee whine - that starts with a hearty 'thank you' for the folks updating the wiki. That's working really well now. But now developments are not being noted here in the forums.

So for the casual viewer - I assume Ariadne found a document at the deaddrop in Cardiff, and reported it to Ariock. What she found included a code. PRUVODEREHAVIGO AI7P/I5DB/J2L4/N2IR/I80T Note that the first part of the code is a word in esperanto - something to do with derive/proof/have (possess)

Entering the code on the secret site gets the rest of us the same document (in esperanto):

Which is posted and translated here, but without attribution:

I left the email out & PLEASE don't call the phone number unless we learn that it is important to game play for us to do so. ARGs have had a way of really bugging people's private lives (especially people who are NOT characters)!

Yeah, the whois doesn't look to be IG. We'd be looking for hints to in-game webmasters who put up the site.

It is interesting that there is still an omph strength listed for 1916, even though the Games were cancelled that year, whereas there is a FALSE listed for omphs for 1940 and 1944 (when the Games were also cancelled). [SPEC] This could be an indication that Jorge and the other 5 with him had some kind of "hidden" Olympics going on, or that an omph was still placed somewhere despite the Games not happening.
