I'm hoping Dead Rising-ish. That would probably be the sweetest thing they could pull off.

How could you make it Dead Rising-ish? Dead Rising is about thousands of zombies in a place at one time...Cloverfield (the movie) is about surviving in a completely effed-up situation, with only a few other people (and MGP and the parasites) to keep you company.
I don't know how they could pull this one off, but I'm hoping it turns out good. I just want to play as MGP. How awesome would that be?! Smooshing tanks (hehe...smoosh), swatting helicopters, munching on delicious people-sized snacks, dropping parasites...yeah, that'd be awesome.
Here's hoping they reference him as "Mister Grumpy Pants" at one point...maybe referred to by a character?
Character 1: "We can't stay here, we need to leave!"
Character 2: "I'd love to, but mister grumpy pants out there is busy killing everything in sight!"
XD

that would make the game gay. Just like it's trying to make the movie gay... Anything MGP is a disaster.

I'm afraid, good sir, that I'm going to have to ask you to leave the internets forever. Thank you.

So... how long will it be before that website is updated by Paramount?
I'm hoping at least a couple of years. I don't want them to rush this game.
I can't see it being delayed like that. A couple years from now Cloverfield will be old news, can't imagine the game making much money at that time. Timeliness is key, unless, of course, there were a bad sequel and the release of the game coincided with that, which I doubt. Would be nice if the game didn't suck but I am not keeping my fingers crossed.

Despite the drop in graphics, the game would have amazing camera controls on the Wii if the perspective is first person.

I'm hoping for a 1st-person type game that lets you play as:
- A soldier (attacking MGP and the parasites)
- A normal 'Joe' trying to survive
- MGP himself!
Sorta like the AVP 1/2 games (which, thankfully, were not based on either movie) where you can pick from a marine, a pred, or an alien.

100% confirmed? How the hell is this 100% confirmed?
i dont see anything that 100% tells me anything, except some guy telling us that paramount asked him if they could have his website name. And even then if Paramount asked me if they could use my website name i would ask them what their offer is. So until i see Paramount saying that they are working on a Cloverfield game i dont believe any of this, it doesnt take but a little time to make a website and make a video on youtube saying Paramount has contacted you. But until i see a Paramount Ceo saying there will be a cloverfield game this is 25% confirmed at best.

No, paramount actually told Brad that they were planning a Cloverfield game and that they wanted the domain.
