I imagine that our athletes would be able to find some way of getting to places if we can't, unless we need to tackle it as one of those wretched "social engineering" problems and convince someone we've never met who has no idea what we're on about to pick up an artefact in a foreign country, using only our guile, wit, charm and the power of Teh Intarwebs.

I still think that it will be best, to find some kind of open community (forum, chat, ...) and try to get a contact. I will search for a forum if I have some time later.

Just tried mibbit myself - just copy/paste the server string AND a room name like #unfiction or #lostring to start. Ask when you get there how to register your nick. Because I always forget.
