AUZ - either Ariadne's pickup in Cardiff was just showing us what to do, or it was an indication that the athletes will be involved in the codex recovery too. I am sure Lucie's answer will be a strong indication one way or the other. if she says "but I can't get a passport" then we know we're supposed to collect that one, and maybe the rest. I think this issue will take care of itself.

Yeah...[META]My guess is they want the option of the athletes being able to pick them up, just in case we can't find players to help. If we really don't have a player in the area, I'm sure they'll somehow find a way...

I imagine that our athletes would be able to find some way of getting to places if we can't, unless we need to tackle it as one of those wretched "social engineering" problems and convince someone we've never met who has no idea what we're on about to pick up an artefact in a foreign country, using only our guile, wit, charm and the power of Teh Intarwebs.

I PM'd Giskard and he is far away on vacation and can't come up with a contact in Brussels. So - who do YOU know in Brussels?

I still think that it will be best, to find some kind of open community (forum, chat, ...) and try to get a contact. I will search for a forum if I have some time later.

I guess we should watch the in-game forums to see if someone reports the find there. And/Or google to find other forums playing.

I just tried google and it looks like there is some chat about the various artifacts in irc.netsplit.irc that google captured but can't provide a good link back to...

Not even indexing unfiction yet.

is there an IRC set up for this? I mean I can't readily get to it (I'm on a Mac) but that may be a good source...

Just tried mibbit myself - just copy/paste the server string AND a room name like #unfiction or #lostring to start. Ask when you get there how to register your nick. Because I always forget.

From Ariadne's blog:

Quote:
By the way, the omphaputer says an artifact was recovered in Bruxelles. But no one has sent me the recovery code yet. Who has it? Is the artifact still there? Do we have another friend in Bruxelles to check it out?
