Chat logs and conference that Jamesi and I had with Reggie at the same time are posted in Interaction.
We tried Addie, but they were not listening. Don't know if they could see us, just like Jamesi and I could not see each other.
There is our new trail gang.

Chess move Dashcat noticed and posted at CD that the Bxd4+ notation at the bottom of Reggie's last entry is a chess move. The Bishop was moved to square d4 on the chessboard. The "x" denotes that a capture took place and the "+" denotes that the King was put in check.
Sorry I couldn't quote Dash's text, but I can't seem to copy and paste at cd anymore.

Do you think that Acheron is going to be rife with chess? At the moment I can handle the references...they aren't too heavy, but sheesh am I the only one who doesn't get the game (chess). Because if we have to play the entire game with ever increasingly difficult chess moves...I'm going to have to become a spectator...lol.

Heh. I don't know chess well enough to follow the notation -
and I didn't know mythology well enough to follow it in CTW.
How can I have so much stuff stored up in my brain, and it doesn't help with these two games!?!

Well, I couldn't click and drag from the beginning of the paragraph to copy, but I could from the end. Here's some of what dashcat said:
Quote:
The Bxd4+ is a chess move. . . . Bxd4 means Bishop to d4, d4 being a square on the chess board. I don't know what the + means....possibly it designates a 'check' move.
But let's go light on the cutting and pasting unless people specifically agree to your reposting their content, OK?
[edit] Yarrrr!

Just an FYI, I put a bug report in at CD about this awhile ago. It started right after a microsoft update.

Cut & Past If you find anything in mine worth repeating go adhead and copy, if you use the whole thing somewhere else (CD, Yahoo) please mention my name. All I ask is that you not sent out any in-game communications "whole cloth" to other in game characters. You can mention anything I have said here in passing just like you would if you saw one friend had a conversation then saw a mutual friend later.

I agree wholeheartedly with Steff...just use caution when talking to ingame characters please (of course ultimately, the choice is yours).
So I say 'Ditto'

just as a side note I tend to look everything up in Google, just to be on the safe side, and Bxd4+ gives first hit to this match

could we be looking for a response? particularly one that leads to a win? or am I just peddling trout - again!?!
