I know you've mentioned this Illy, but could it be that we now have to find XIII? It could be that his ARG was a little too close to reality for some folks. Much like Con08.

Nazis, evil ninjas, alien whale clones, chupacabras, killer penguins, Imperial Russian KGB agents, DNA triggered viri, secret Antarctic bases... Sonds like MY world, for sure. Smile

Hey, since you all are stressing about the events going on (or lack there of) with V.I.T.D. I thought I would let you know that I haven't heard anything from the PM's either. I am not one of the PM's, but I did some acting for them in the game. I e-mailed them last Saturday after you guys pointed out the sites that were gone. I haven't heard back from them and that is an abnormal length of time for them. Sorry I don't actually know what's going on, but I can tell you I don't think it's good. It also doesn't line up with the story as they told it to me. I hope it's not over and they can recover from whatever problem has arisen.

I am just not sure what to make of this, it is certainly possible that the game is now "Find the PM and why s/he is gone" but it is equally possible that the PM went out drinking with friends that thought it would be funny to leave him passed out on the side of the road in Mexico with no money passport or phone (which is why I NEVER went south for spring break).

Take into account, though, that somebody is removing the websites one at a time. Somebody is still messing with us behind the curtain.

True and good point. The question is though is that the PM behind the curtain or just the janitor sweeping up?

I was thinking that earlier on, too. My theory was that moonfruits was deleting them due to inactivity...

However, the Wiki says there was less than a week between the last update to KSW and it's disappearance. So I'm fairly sure this isn't an automated cleaning. Not on Moonfruit's behalf, anyway.

And if it was we could have expected geocaching to go down first... And it's still up. If it is PM intervention I'd say we need to look at that page again, but I don't know where to start with that.

Oh I keep check Geocaching hoping to notice some subtle change that leads us the right way, but if it is there I am not seeing it.

As far as the cleaning up, maybe it isnt from inactivity. If they are being deleated for non payment then the order may be as random as we have been seeing. And Geocaching was the last site we found.

I have just been informed by a reliable source that at the very least the PM for Con 08 is still alive and has been seen on IM within the last 48 hours. So as long as it is the same PM our guy is kicking and this may just be part of the game.

I would think that all these sites would be under one account, so if it was non-payment, they'd all implode at once... Hmm :/

In any case, it's good to hear that XIII is alive and kicking OOG. Hopefully this is part of the game.

Been kinda lurking here; but if you go to the first site (http://firstchiefdirectorate.t83.net/), t83.net goes to the hosting company, and you have to pay.

So possibly.

Well, I think the assets are still there, which was also (and I believe still is) the case with the Con08 sites. For example:
http://kantsaywhereinstitute.mfbiz.com/communities/5/004/006/386/125/images/4520260974.gif
is still there as I write this.

Cool. It does mean, the sites aren't down, just the frontpage or index.html is removed. It make me hope.

And I'm also glad to hear, XIII is alive.

Finally, this is the most important thing Smile
I love his imagination and his potential.
